| OBJECTIVETo further analyze and evaluate the effect of Shenjin tablets in the treatment of axial symptoms after surgery for Cervical Spondylotic Myelopathy(CSM)by observing and studying the effect of Shenjin tablets in the treatment of postoperative axial symptoms in CSM.METHODSPatients who met the following conditions were selected for the study:patients who were diagnosed with CSM between October 2020 and January2023 at the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine;patients who were hospitalized for anterior cervical surgery for CSM;and patients who developed axial symptoms after surgery.Patients who met the above criteria were then compared by inclusion criteria to see if patients could be included in the study, and those who did not meet the criteria were excluded.A total of 60 patients were included, and full communication was made with the patients to sign the informed consent form with them for this study while ensuring their complete voluntariness.Using the random number method, the 60 patients were divided into test and control groups, with 30 cases in the test group and 30 cases in the control group. To control for variables, all 60 patients were operated by the same surgeon and the procedure was "Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion(ACDF)",and the patients were routinely rehydrated and monitored regularly after surgery. After the development of axial symptoms in both groups, patients in the control group were given eperisone hydrochloride tablets and patients in the experimental group were given eperisone hydrochloride tablets combined with Shenjin tablets, and the data of VAS score,NDI score and axial symptoms score were collected before,2 weeks after,4 weeks after and 8 weeks after treatment, and the results were analyzed using SPSS 26.0.Results1.According to the analysis, the general data(age, sex, duration of disease, bleeding volume of patients during surgery, and time elapsed during surgery)of patients in the test group and control group were equal at baseline, and the differences were not statistically significant(P > 0.05);before treatment, the VAS scores,NDI scores, and axial symptom scores of patients in both groups could be tested two by two to obtain no statistically significant differences between groups(P > 0.05).2.The VAS scores of the test group and the control group showed a decreasing trend at 2 weeks,4 weeks and 8 weeks after treatment(P <0.05),and the VAS scores at each time point were statistically different;at each time point after treatment, the VAS scores of the test group were lower than those of the control group at the corresponding time point, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.The NDI scores of the test group and the control group at 2 weeks,4 weeks and 8 weeks after treatment showed a decreasing trend(P < 0.05),and the NDI scores at each time point were statistically different;at each time point after treatment, the NDI scores of the test group were lower than those of the control group at the corresponding time point, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).4.The axial symptom scores of the test group and the control group showed a decreasing trend at 2 weeks,4 weeks, and 8 weeks after treatment(P < 0.05),and the axial symptom scores at each time point were statistically different;at each time point after treatment, the test group had lower axial symptom scores than the control group at the corresponding time point, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).CONCLUSIONBoth the use of eperisone hydrochloride tablets alone and the use of Shenjin tablets combined with eperisone hydrochloride tablets can achieve the effect of treating postoperative axial symptoms in CSM to a certain extent, but in comparison, the effect of Shenjin tablets combined with eperisone hydrochloride tablets in treating postoperative axial symptoms of CSM is better than that of using eperisone hydrochloride tablets alone in treating postoperative axial symptoms of CSM. |
