| Background and AimsGastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)is one of the common chronic diseases of the digestive system. The American Gastroenterological Association GERD guidelines state that clinicians should provide standardized educational materials on GERD weight management, lifestyle and eating behaviors, relaxation strategies, and more.At present, the health intervention for GERD patients mainly adopts oral education in outpatient clinics and the distribution of publicity manuals, and usually focuses on one-way information transmission, lacking the continuity of intervention. However, mobile health can provide interactive and continuous intervention. The purpose of this study is to investigate the current situation of GERD patients’ disease knowledge mastery, analyze the influence of gender, age, education level and other factors on their disease knowledge mastery, construct a mobile health intervention scheme based on WeChat, and discuss the application effect of this scheme in the health management of GERD patients,so as to improve the compliance of GERD patients and provide reference for effective control of symptoms in GERD patients.Methods1.Self-made questionnaire was used to investigate 257 patients with GERD who met the criteria in Qilu hospital of Shandong University,to analyze the degree of disease knowledge mastery and its influencing factors, and to provide evidence for the formulation of intervention programs.2.According to the survey results, construct the mobile health intervention scheme based on WeChat.A total of 120 patients diagnosed with GERD in the Department of Gastroenterology,Qilu hospital of Shandong University from January 2021 to April 2022 were selected as research objects. The two groups were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group. The control group adopted routine outpatient education program, and the experimental group adopted mobile health program based on WeChat. Before intervention, general data and GERD-Q scores of the two groups were collected.GERD-Q scores were collected 1 and 3 months after intervention, and GERD-Q scores, clinical efficacy, compliance and satisfaction were collected 6 months after intervention.Results1.The total awareness rate of GERD patients was about 22.3%.Males were more likely than females to know that smoking and drinking was a risk factor for GERD(χ2=7.569,P=0.006),while those with college degree or above were more likely to know that obesity was a risk factor for GERD(x2=5.130,P=0.024)and drug therapy for GERD(P<0.05).Chi-square test showed that there was no significant difference in the knowledge rate of patients with different ages(P>0.05).2.There was no significant difference in baseline data of GERD patients before intervention(P>0.05).After intervention,GERD-Q scores of the two groups were compared:after 1 month,3 months and 6 months,GERD-Q scores of the intervention group were 7.28±2.26,5.10± 1.27 and 4.37± 1.53,respectively,and those of the control group were 8.15±2.01,5.82±1.62 and 6.14±1.99,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).3.After intervention, the treatment effective rate of the two groups was compared:the total effective rate of the experimental group was 91.7%,the total effective rate of the control group was 77.2%,the difference was statistically significant(χ2=14.218,P=0.001).4.After intervention, the compliance of the two groups was compared:The compliance of the experimental group was better than that of the control group in terms of reasonable diet, taking medicine on time, moderate exercise and not supine after meals(P<0.05),while there was no statistical significance between the two groups in improving smoking and drinking behavior(P>0.05).5.After the intervention, the satisfaction of the two groups was compared:the total satisfaction of the experimental group was 93.3%,and that of the control group was 75.4%.the difference was statistically significant(χ2=12.086,P=0.002).Conclusions1.The knowledge of GERD patients is at a low level, and the cognition level of patients with low education level is lower than that of patients with high education level.Men are more likely to know the harm of smoking and drinking than women.2.Mobile health intervention based on WeChat can promote GERD patients to change adverse lifestyle, improve compliance, treatment efficiency and satisfaction, and achieve the improvement of objective indicators. |
