BackgroundAfter a public health emergency, the public’s need for health information has increased significantly. In the era of rapid development of self-media,highly developed information dissemination channels can not only facilitate the public to obtain scientific information, but also easily become a platform for breeding network noise. As a high-quality group with professional knowledge, medical personnel actively participate in the dissemination of information on public health emergencies, and promptly issue a professional, scientific, and easily acceptable voice to the public, which will help guide the public to relieve negative emotions and help improve the social response to public health emergencies.Efficiency and capacity of events.ObjectiveTo explore the behavioral mechanism and key influencing factors of medical staff participating in information dissemination after public health emergencies.Construct a hypothetical model of medical staffs participation in public health emergency information dissemination, and analyze the specific impact mechanism based on the constructed behavior model. Then, strategies and suggestions are put forward to guide medical staff to participate in the dissemination of public health emergency information and to create a scientific and benign atmosphere for public health emergency information dissemination.Methods1.Literature analysisComprehensive and extensive collection of domestic and foreign literature on public health emergencies and information dissemination, focusing on research and analysis of behavior analysis models represented by planned behavior theory and value acceptance model,in order to build medical personnel in the dissemination of public health emergencies information. The research model of participation behavior provides theoretical basis, and further proposes research hypotheses and designs questionnaires.2.QuestionnaireFrom September to December 2020,one tertiary hospital in Tianhe District,Baiyun District, and Haizhu District of Guangzhou City were selected for investigation.Survey form:Combining online and offline.Survey content:basic personal information, awareness of public health emergencies, perception and participation in public health emergencies information dissemination.A total of 406 questionnaires were recovered, and 374 valid questionnaires were recovered.3.Statistical analysisThe software Epidata3.1 was used to establish the database, and the software SPSS25.0 was used for descriptive statistical analysis, reliability and validity analysis, univariate analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.Based on planned behavior theory and value acceptance model,an initial model of medical staffs participation behavior in public health emergency information dissemination was constructed.AMOS software was used to verify the initial model, and a revised structural equation model was established.Resultsresearch sample:A total of 406 questionnaires were collected in this study,of which 374 were valid questionnaires. There are slightly more men than women.Awareness of public health emergencies:Among the 8.374 respondents, the awareness rate of public health emergencies was 96.52%.Information dissemination of public health emergencies:Among the 374 respondents,272(72.72%)participated in the dissemination of public health emergencies through online media; The top three media usage are WeChat(69.79%),Weibo(27.81%),Douyin/Kuishou/Short Video(24.87%);The top three purposes of participating in information dissemination are to obtain information(68.98%),to meet the information needs of others(63.10%),and to govern rumors(61.50%).Reliability and validity analysis of measurement scales:The total Cronbach’s Alpha of the questionnaire was 0.885,the coefficients of each variable were all greater than 0.7,the KMO index is 0.902,and t he cumulative variance contribution rate is about 71.5%.Univariate analysis of the influencing factors of medical staffs participation in public health emergency information dissemination:Different gender(t=1.676,P<0.05),age(F=5.294,P<0.00),education level(F=3.168,P<0.05),average daily time spent online(F=3.480,P<0.05),work Years(F=3.218,P<0.05),department category(F=4.916,P<0.01),and professional title(F=3.642,P<0.05)groups of medical staffs participation behavior scores were all statistically significant.Regression Analysis of Influencing Factors of Participation Behavior:According to the analysis of stepwise multiple linear regression equation, perceived usefulness and perceived effectiveness positively affect perceived value, and perceived risk negatively affects perceived value R2=0.273;perceived value, social influence, perceived behavior control, individual innovation, personality traits, optimism Deviation and doctor-patient relationship positively affect participation willingness R2=0.485;participation willingness positively affects participation behavior R2=0.280.Structural equation modeling of participation behavior:establish a model of medical staff participation behavior in public health emergency information dissemination,in which perceived value, social influence, perceived behavior control, individual innovation, personality characteristics, optimism bias,doctor-patient relationship The path coefficients of willingness to participate are 0.179,0.128,0.259,0.148,0.206,0.202 and 0.097;the path coefficients of perceived usefulness, perceived effectiveness and perceived risk to perceived value are 0.413,0.498 and-0.248,respectively;The behavior has a path coefficient of 0.677.Conclusion1.Medical staff have high awareness and willingness to participate in public health emergencies, but the overall level of awareness needs to be improved2.Medical staff with different genders, education levels, average daily Internet time, working years, department categories, and professional title groups have different participation behaviors in public health emergency information dissemination.3.Perceived usefulness and perceived effectiveness positively affect perceived value, and perceived risk negatively affects perceived value.Perceived value, social influence, perceived behavior control, individual innovation, personality traits, optimism bias, and doctor-patient relationship positively affect participation intention, and participation intention positively affects participation behavior. The constructed structural equation model has a good fitting effect and can better reflect the actual situation of medical staff’s participation in the information dissemination of public health emergencies.RecommendationsBased on the above results,in order to better improve the willingness and behavior of medical staff to participate in public health emergency information dissemination, five specific strategies are proposed:(1)strengthen health knowledge training to improve health literacy;(2)improve the network supervision system to reduce Perceived risks;(3)Clarify role and function positioning to improve perceived benefits;(4)Promote joint governance by entities to increase social influence;(5)Tap potential innovative power to build brand image. |
