Background Since the outbreak of COVID-19,medical researchers and medical workers have made significant contributions to emergency scientific research and clinical treatment,highlighting the importance of high-level medical talents and higher medical education.There is the largest scale of medical education in the world,it still has great room for progress in the training of clinical medical talents,such as the urgent need to improve the quality of clinical medical personnel training,to optimize the training structure of clinical medical talents and to enhance the ability of medical innovation.In recent years,the reform of the training mode of clinical medical talents in China has emerged one after another,but the systematicness and whole situation were not strong.The innovative growth of medical education and the training of clinical medical talents need to be coordinated from the whole system’s perspective.Ecosystem refers to a whole with the function of material circulation and metabolism,energy exchange and information transfer,in which all organisms living in a certain territory(or space)act with the environment(i.e.living and non-living components).Ecosystem and related theories emphasize integrity,systematicness and coordination from the overall perspective to achieve the sustainable development of the whole system.The ecosystem has a long history.Since the 1930s,ecology,as a methodological discipline with universal function,has widely penetrated much natural science and social science fields.Scientific ecosystem theory and educational ecosystem theory have been formed in the gradual development,which can also be used for reference in higher medical education management research.Purpose Based on the demand for the training of high-quality clinical medical talents in the new era,the ecosystem theory is introduced into the field of education and teaching management based on an in-depth analysis of the current situation of clinical medical personnel training at home and abroad case university.This paper aims to construct a clinical medical personnel training ecosystem based on ecosystem theory to provide new theoretical guidance for education and teaching reform,improve training quality and provide new ideas and theoretical paradigms for undergraduate clinical medical personnel training,education and teaching research.Methods and contents This analysis was primarily adopted through literature research techniques,induction,case analysis,questionnaire survey and interviews to guide the subject research work.Through literature research,this paper sorted out the relevant investigations and application of ecosystem theory,both existing situations and related research on clinical medical personnel training at home and abroad,typical cases and their characteristics.this paper induced and summarized the medical education policies of China.Furthermore,this paper sorts out the undergraduate training goals for clinical medical talents.Through case analysis,interview and questionnaire survey,this paper analyzes the current situation of the reform of undergraduate clinical medical personnel training mode in case university,docking theory,to construct a clinical medical personnel training model based on ecosystem theory.Results Firstly,the study of the current situation shows that although several typical cases of clinical medical personnel training at home and abroad have their characteristics,the academic system and training methods are different.Still,on the whole,they have something in common:training clinical medical talents from the aspects of humanistic education,clinical practice,scientific research innovation,education and teaching curriculum system,and different internal and external subjects assume important responsibilities and play different roles in the process of clinical medical personnel training.Secondly,the policy research found that the country attaches great importance to the training of clinical medical talents from the supply,demand and environmental aspects of guidance and support.The development trend of clinical medical education in the new era starts with the construction of new medical departments,deepening the teaching reform of clinical medical undergraduate education,being oriented,student-centered,and strengthening the training of clinical medical students with new connotations.The goal of undergraduate training of clinical medical talents in China is to train medical talents with good ideological and political quality,medical ethics,solid academic knowledge,professional clinical practice skills and scientific research innovation potential.Thirdly,the analysis of the survey data of the case study shows that the increment of the ability of clinical medical students in the dimensions of science and scholarship,clinical ability,health and society is higher than that of the national norm of clinical medical students.Clinical medical undergraduates’learning input and deep learning level are significantly higher than those of non-clinical majors.The interview results show that some problems in case university,such as insufficient ability training of students,the academic challenge of curriculum requirements need to be improved,less interaction between teachers and students,lack of targeted environmental support,and too broad government policy guidance.Furthermore,through theoretical research,this paper deeply analyzes the advantages of ecosystem theory and the applicability of its introduction into the field of education.It constructs the theoretical framework of clinical medical talent training ecosystem.Undergraduate clinical medical personnel training and ecosystem and its related theories have the same purpose,both are aimed at the symbiosis of value-added subjects;they have the same structure,both contain producers,consumers,decomposers and environment;they have the same mechanism,which are system openness and resource sharing mechanism,dynamic evolution and networking mechanism,system boundary and external environment influence mechanism,synergistic symbiosis and self-organization mechanism,and the introduction of ecosystem theory in the field of education and teaching management is scientific and applicable.And lastly,the ecosystem theory is introduced into the training of undergraduate clinical medical talents.Combined with the national clinical medical education policy,the current situation of undergraduate clinical medical personnel training in case university,and expert interviews,this paper analyzes the 5 constituent elements,4 functional factors and 8 internal and external subjects of the clinical medical talent training ecosystem.This paper puts forward the action framework of undergraduate clinical medical personnel training from the perspectives of curriculum-based ideological and political education,science and technology education,practical education,curriculum system,government and society.Policy recommendations for the undergraduate clinical medicine talent cultivation ecosystem are proposed to optimize and improve the clinical medicine talent cultivation model from the system as a whole.Conclusions In conclusion,there is a dislocation between college education and vocational demand in the training of clinical medical talents,and collaborative education needs to be further promoted.At the same time,in the face of the new challenges brought by COVID-19 ’s epidemic situation,the new tasks of the implementation of the healthy China strategy,and the new requirements of the development of world medicine,the innovative development of medical education needs to coordinate and promote the training of clinical medical talents from the perspective of the whole system.The following conclusions are drawn:Firstly,the introduction of ecosystem theory into education and teaching management is scientific and applicable.The extension of the ecosystem to the field of medical education broadens the application of ecosystem theory.It provides scientific theoretical guidance for the reform of education and teaching and the improving of training quality.Secondly,the construction of clinical medical personnel training ecosystem is innovative.The construction of clinical medical personnel training ecosystem expands the research level and vision of clinical medical personnel training.It provides new ideas and theoretical paradigms for undergraduate clinical medical personnel training education and teaching research.Thirdly,applying the ecosystem of clinical medical personnel training is practical.The ecosystem of clinical medical personnel training based on ecosystem theory can be extended,and practical suggestions are put forward to optimize and improve the training of undergraduate clinical medical talents. |
