Clinical Observation On Treating Ankle Joint Contracture In Convalescent Period Of Liver And Kidney Deficiency Ischemic Apoplexy With Shaoyao And Liquorice Decoction

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of treating ankle joint contracture during convalescence of liver and kidney deficiency ischemic stroke with shaoyao and Liquorice decoction.Method:Seventy-two patients with ankle joint contracture during recovery from liver and kidney deficiency ischemic stroke who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into experimental group and control group with 36 patients in each group by random number table.The control group received conventional basic treatment,including western medicine treatment and rehabilitation training,and the experimental group was additionally treated with modified Peony and Licorice decoction,once a day,for 28 days.Changes in Composite Spasticity Scale(CSS),TCM syndrome score and ankle range of motion were observed after treatment.The obtained data were analyzed by statistical software SPSS 26.0.Result:1.Baseline data: there were no statistically significant differences in age and gender between the two groups before treatment(P > 0.05),indicating comparability.2.CSS score: after treatment,the CSS score of both groups was lower than that before treatment(P < 0.05),and the CSS score of the experimental group was better than that of the control group(P < 0.05).3.TCM syndrome score: the TCM syndrome score of patients in both groups decreased after treatment compared with before treatment(P < 0.05),and the comparison between groups showed that the experimental group was superior to the control group in reducing TCM syndrome score(P < 0.05).4.TCM symptom score: the TCM symptom score of patients in both groups decreased after treatment compared with before treatment(P < 0.05),and the comparison between groups showed that the experimental group was superior to the control group in reducing TCM symptom score(P < 0.05).5.Ankle range of motion: after treatment,the plantar flexion and varus Angle of ankle in both groups were lower than before treatment,while dorsiflexion and valgus Angle were higher than before treatment(P < 0.05).After comparison between groups,the change of ankle range of motion in experimental group was significantly higher than that in control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.The effect of adding Shaoyao And Liquorice decoction on ankle joint contracture in the convalescent period of ischemic stroke with liver and kidney deficiency is better than conventional basic treatment,and both treatment methods can reduce ankle joint contracture in the convalescent period of ischemic stroke with liver and kidney deficiency.2.The treatment of shaoyao liquorice decoction is superior to conventional basic treatment in improving TCM syndrome and symptoms.3.No adverse reactions were found in the treatment of ankle joint contracture during the convalescence of ischemic stroke with liver and kidney deficiency by adding Shaoyao and Liquorice decoction.
