Clinical Observation Of Mingmu Siwu Decoction Combined With Anti-VEGF In The Treatment Of WAMD

Objective:In this study,Mingmu Siwu Decoction Combined with anti VEGF drugs was used to treat exudative AMD patients,and the treatment effect was evaluated by comparing the best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),central macular thickness(CMT)and TCM symptom score before and after treatment.Methods:60 patients(60 eyes)who met the inclusion criteria were selected and randomly divided into study group and control group.The control group was given intravitreal injection of 0.05 m L Conbercept Ophthalmic Injection once a month for continuous observation for 3 months.On the basis of the control group,the treatment group took traditional Chinese medicine orally.The best corrected visual acuity,macular fovea thickness and TCM syndrome score of the two groups were compared and statistically analyzed before and after treatment at 1,2 and 3 months.Results:After treatment,the two groups had curative effects in BCVA,CMT and TCM symptom score.The total effective rate of the study group(93.3%)was higher than that of the control group(80%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);There was no significant difference between the two groups in the first month,second month and third month after BCVA treatment(P>0.05);The CMT of the two groups in the first month,the second month and the third month after treatment were better than that before treatment.There was no significant difference between the study group and the control group in the first month and the second month after treatment(P>0.05),but there was significant difference between the study group and the control group in the third month after treatment(P<0.05);The TCM symptom scores of the two groups in the first month,the second month and the third month after treatment were better than those before treatment.There was no significant difference between the study group and the control group in the first month and the second month after treatment(P>0.05),and there was significant difference between the study group and the control group in the third month after treatment(P<0.05).The total effective rate of TCM syndrome score in the study group was 93.3%,which was higher than 66.67% in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The study showed that based on the essence of blood deficiency lag theory,Mingmu Siwu decoction combined with Conbercept Ophthalmic Injection treating w AMD patients with obvious therapeutic effect,compared with simple Conbercept Ophthalmic Injection intraocular injection treatment,can significantly reduce the macular edema,relieve the clinical symptoms of patients,improve the patient’s quality of life,that Mingmu Siwu decoction curative effect is obvious,practical in clinic.
