The Influence Of The Interpersonal Needs And Social Support Of The Elderly In The Community On The Activity Of Daily Living

Objective: To understand the current situation of interpersonal needs,social support and activities of daily living of the elderly in the community and the relationship between the three,to explore the influence of the interpersonal needs and social support of the elderly in the community on the activities of daily living,and to formulate the health of the elderly in the community.Management Mode provides a reference.Methods:This study is a cross-sectional study in non-experimental research;using convenience sampling method,325 elderly people who underwent physical examination in Yanji City Health Service Center from May 2021 to August 2021 were selected as research objects;Demographic questionnaire,interpersonal needs questionnaire,social support rating scale,and activity of daily living scale were used for questionnaire survey.SPSS26.0 statistical software was used to analyze the data,and the test level was set to α=0.05.Results:(1)Among the research subjects,200(62.2%)were female,the most were 69 years old,accounting for 19.7%;148(45.5%)were Han;177(54.5%)were urban residents;309(95.1%)had no religious belief;156(48.0%)people between 1,000 and 2,999 yuan,121(37.2%)with a junior high school education,241(74.2%)married in marital status,and 229(70.5%)of the elderly living with their spouses only.In terms of medical insurance,211(64.9%)people have basic medical insurance for urban employees,and206(63.4%)people have two or more children.In terms of relationship with children,272(83.7%)people have a good relationship with their children.(2)The average score of the research subjects’ interpersonal needs was 35.25±14.18 points.The research subjects who were aged≥70 years,lived in rural areas,had 2 or more children,and had a general relationship with their children had a higher level of interpersonal needs,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)The social support score of the research subjects was 37.58±7.85 points.Age≤69years old,urban,Han nationality,family monthly income≥5,000 yuan,high school(secondary school)and above,married,only living with the spouse,medical insurance is the basic medical insurance for urban employees,has 1 child and has a good relationship with the children The social support level of the elderly was higher,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)The average score of activities of daily living of the research subjects was 20.48±6.20 points.The subjects in the city,with a monthly family income of≥5000 yuan,undergraduate/college and above,married and not living alone had better activities of daily living,and the difference was statistically significant.Significance(P<0.05).(5)Pearson correlation analysis shows that there is a positive correlation between interpersonal needs and activities of daily living(r=0.478,P < 0.01),negative correlation between social support and activities of daily living(r=-0.500,P <0.01),and negative correlation between interpersonal needs and social support(r=-0.353,P<0.01).(6)The results of multiple regression analysis show that the living situation in the general demographic data can explain 10.6% of activities of daily living.After controlling the general demographic data,the explanatory power of interpersonal needs is 18.9%.And social support is added,and its explanatory power is 6.5%.All variables wich involved in regression were predict 36.0% of the activities of daily living.Conclusions:(1)The activities of daily living of the elderly is at a moderate level.The elderly living in the city,the family monthly income≥5000 yuan,undergraduate/college and above,married and not living alone,the research subjects have better activities of daily living.(2)The interpersonal needs of the elderly are at a moderate level.Elderly people aged≥70 years old,living in rural areas,having 2 or more children,or having a general relationship with their children had a higher level of interpersonal needs.(3)The social support of the elderly is at a moderate level.Elderly aged ≤69 years old,urban,Han nationality,family monthly income≥5,000 yuan,high school(secondary school)and above,married,only living with their spouse,medical insurance is the basic medical insurance for urban employees,has 1 child and is related to children Good elderly people have a higher level of social support.(4)The lower the interpersonal needs,the higher the social support,and the better the activities of daily living.(5)Living alone,interpersonal needs and social support were the effect factor of activities of daily living among elderly,and these factors totally predicted 36.0%.
