| ObjectiveImaging nursing has its own characteristics different from clinical nursing. The purpose of this study is to construct an evaluation index system for the post competency of imaging nurses. This index system can be used to describe, analyze and evaluate the post competency level of medical imaging nurses which will provide reference standards for screening, training, and assessment.MethodsThrough the method of literature research, the characteristic vocabulary of imaging nurses’ post competency was extracted, and the item pool was modified and improved by combining group discussions and behavioral event interviews, and an index frame of imaging nurses’ post competency was initially formed.According to the relevant framework indicators,a letter from experts on the competence of imaging nurses was compiled, and then the Delphi method was used to conduct two rounds of questionnaires on 16 experts related to clinical, teaching, and management in the imaging department to obtain the corresponding evaluation index system. The analysis method determines the weight of each item. Then, according to the obtained evaluation index, the post competency evaluation questionnaire of medical imaging nurses was compiled and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire survey were carried out on 165 medical imaging nurses in different level hospitals. Finally, the post competency evaluation index system of medical imaging nurse was formed.ResultsThe framework of post competency indicators was initially formed through literature analysis, group discussions, and behavioral event interviews, including 5 first-level indicators,22 second-level indicators, and 73 third-level indicators, and used as the first round of Delphi experts questionnaire content for consultation.A total of 2 rounds of expert correspondence were conducted in this study, and the recovery rate of the questionnaires reached 100%.In the first round of expert correspondence,as many as 13 experts put forward definite revision opinions, accounting for 81.25%.The second round of experts compared with the first round, the number of letter inquiries has dropped significantly, and 12.5%of experts have proposed revisions. The authoritative coefficient of the experts in the two rounds of investigation is as high as 0.919,which is highly reliable. The coordination coefficients of the first-,second-,and third-level indicators of the first round of expert consultation were 0.401,0.304,and 0.261,respectively,and the coordination coefficients of the first-,second-,and third-level indicators of the second round of expert consultation were 0.413,0.358,and 0.283,respectively,all of which were significant.(P<0.05),the higher the level of the two rounds of surveys, the greater the coordination coefficient.Through the analysis of the results of the two rounds of expert consultation, the harmony coefficient W of the indicators at all levels in the second round is larger than that of the indicators at the same level in the first round. After two rounds of inquiries from experts, the coefficients of variation of the primary, secondary and tertiary indicators ranged from 0.051 to 0.115,0.000 to 0.174,and 0.000 to 0.194,respectively.The expert opinion tends to be unanimous. The final evaluation index system of imaging nurses’ post competency covers 5 first-level indicators,16 second-level indicators, and 69 third-level indicators. The constructed index system has been tested for reliability and validity. The overall Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of the index system is 0.987,and the fold-half reliability coefficient is 0.957.The reliability of the index system is high. The content validity index of each item is 0.778 to 1.000,and the overall content validity index(S-CVI)was 0.955,the overall correlation coefficient between the first-level index and the index system was 0.886-0.966(P<0.01),and the index system structure was reasonable.ConclusionThe evaluation indicators of post competency of imaging nurses are scientific, effective and practical. After statistical analysis, the index system has good reliability and validity. The constructed indicator system includes 5 first-level indicators,16 second-level indicators, and 69 third-level indicators. It covers all aspects that are mainly concerned and faced in the work of imaging department nursing positions, which can provide an objective quantitative basis for the screening, job training, and evaluation of imaging department nurses. Therefore, the indicators constructed in this study are operable and practical. |
