Objectives: Investigate the differences of post-surgery rehabilitation in low lumbar fracture patients, according to the thoracolumbar injury severity score(TLICS)system.Method: Participants are 32 patients, performed surgery in the First Hospital of China Medical University from Mar.2008 to Aug.2017 for low lumbar fracture. There are 21 male,11 female, ranging in age from 17 to 72,averaged 38.5 years old.Among them,9 cases are compression fracture,19 cases are burst fracture,2 cases are Chance fracture,2cases are displacement. We sort patients in A,B,2 groups, respectively 20,12 patients in each group. In group A,TLICS>4;In group B,TLICS≤4;We examine the compression ratio of anterior edge of injured spinal,Cobb angle,Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score and Oswestry Dysfunction Index(ODI)score prior and after the surgery to evaluate the prognosis. Results: All patients finished the surgery with 6-48 months follow-up,average(23.9 ± 11.4)months.In group A,and group B,the lumbar vertebra’s Cobb angle, injured spinal anterior edge’s compression ratio,VAS and ODI post-surgery were significantly superior to those prior surgery(P<0.05);We then compare the improvement rate of these four indexes in group A and group B,the differences of the compression ratio of injured spinal anterior edge and VAS score are significant. Conclusion: We evaluate post-surgery rehabilitation on low lumbar fracture according to the TLICS system via a retrospective study of 32 cases. We figure they both get a significant improvement among the four indexes post-surgery.And the improvement of patients in the group(TLICS>4)is more significant than another group(TLICS<4)in aspects of spine stability and function improvement.
