A Randomized Controlled Trial Of The Triple Puncture On Fengchi Acupoint In Treating Neck Type Of Cervical Spondylosis

Objective Through controlled clinical study to explore the method of the triple puncture on Fengchi(GB20)acupoint in treating neck type of cervical spondylosis,comparing the treatment group with the regular acupuncture points,in order to get the best solution and reference to cure the neck type of cervical spondylosis.Methods The 74 patients who met the inclusion criteria were divided into treatment group and control group by randomized control,with 37 cases in each group.In the control group,the regular acupuncture points was applied,In the experiment group,on the basic treatment as the control group,the method of the triple puncture on Fengchi(GB20)acupoint.The method was given 30 minutes each time and 5 times a week lasting 2 weeks.The assessment data were collected before and after treatment.The therapeutic effects were evaluated by visual Analogue Scale(VAS),Clinical Assessment Scale of Cervical Spondylosis(CASCS),Range Of cervical Motion(ROM),Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)and the overall evaluation of treatment.Statistical analysis was conducted on the subjects before and after treatment.ResultsAfter 2 weeks treatment,compare in the same group:VAS showed significant statistical significance before and after treatment(P<0.01),Comparison between groups:VAS between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05);Efficacy evaluation:the total effective rate was 93.94%in the experiment group,which was higher than 90.91%in the control group;Anxiety states:the two groups of HAMA were significantly different before and after treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).ConclusionThe treatment group(the triple puncture on Fengchi acupoint in treating neck type of cervical spondylosis)was better than the control group in alleviating the pain degree and improving the clinical signs.The method is effective and safe.
