A Research On The Constitution Of TCM In Prostate Cancer Patients

Objective To investigate the TCM constitution and related clinical data of patients with prostate cancer in order to investigate the characteristics of TCM constitution and their correlation with clinical indicators in patients with prostate cancer.Methods 100 patients with prostate cancer who met the inclusion criteria in this hospital and related hospitals were selected.The method of cross-sectional survey and research was adopted.The questionnaire used was mainly composed of interviews and self-administered questionnaires.The design of the constitution part of Chinese medicine was based on the Chinese medicine constitution theory edited by Professor Wang Qi of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.The "Quality Survey Form for Patients with Prostate Cancer" developed on the basis of the body mass table.And collect relevant clinical data of these patients,collate and input the data,establish an Excel database and perform statistical analysis,and draw conclusions.Results Among the 100 patients enrolled this time,the youngest was 43 years old,the oldest was 87 years old,and the average age was(70.9±8.7)years;of the 100 patients investigated,the simplest constitution was the most common,accounting for 54%,followed by two complex types of constitution,accounting for 33%,and three kinds of complex-type constitution,accounting for 8%,and only five cases of four complex-type constitution were found.In the patients with prostate cancer,there are mainly two kinds of clipped TCM constitutions,accounting for 60.9%。There are 28 cases of Qi-deficiency,27 cases of Yin-deficiency and 22 cases of yang deficiency in clipped TCM constitutions.The analysis of Gleason score and TCM constitution found no statistical significance(P>0.05).The analysis of PSA,patient’s age and TCM constitutional distribution revealed statistical significance(P<0.05),and there was a difference in physical distribution.Conclusion Hypophysis and phlegm are the main constitutional types of prostate cancer patients.The patients with simple type of constitutional prostate cancer are mainly Phlegm-dampness,and most of the prostate cancer patients with connexion constitution also have Qi-deficiency and Yin-deficiency.Different PSA and patients’ age differ in the distribution of TCM physique.There was no difference in the distribution of TCM constitution types among prostate cancer patients with different Gleason scores.
