Study On The Evaluation Of The Effectiveness Of Arable Land Use In Zhuzhou City

As the material basis of China’s food security,arable land is of great importance to China’s food production.Most of the existing studies on the evaluation of arable land utilization efficiency are biased toward regions with high gross agricultural output value where the study scale is larger and the study area is more developed,and there is less literature on urban areas with low agricultural share in the city’s GDP and high industrialization level as the study objects.This study takes Zhuzhou City as the study area,combines entropy value method,AHP,and comprehensive index model,and uses ArcGIS technology to explore in depth the temporal trends and spatial distribution variability of arable land utilization benefits in Zhuzhou City,with a view to providing new ideas to enhance the level of arable land utilization benefits in regions with higher industrialization levels and greater constraints by arable land area.The study shows that the trends of economic,ecological and comprehensive benefits of arable land use in Zhuzhou City overlap well in the time series,with a "W"-shaped fluctuation,and are divided into two main phases during the study period:in the first phase(2011-2013),the economic benefits rose slightly from 2011 to 2012,and were affected by the drought in 2013.The second stage(2014-2019)basically maintains an upward trend;the social benefits always maintain a steady rise during the study period.The trends of economic-ecological-social benefits of cropland use in Zhuzhou City from 2011 to 2019 are significantly different,with most jurisdictions maintaining a fluctuating upward trend,but some regions experiencing a decline in cropland use benefits during the study period.The spatial variability of arable land utilization benefits among the jurisdictions of Zhuzhou City is significant,showing an obvious high in the west and low in the east.The main performance is that the overall level of cropland utilization efficiency in urban areas is higher than that in counties.In view of the problems in the process of arable land utilization in Zhuzhou City,this study considers that measures need to be taken in the following aspects:to improve the production conditions of arable land as a path to improve the disaster resistance of arable land;to develop large-scale operation as a means to integrate fragmented arable land resources;to take the sustainable development of arable land utilization as a guide,taking into account green and development;to combine agricultural production with science and technology to eliminate the polarization of arable land utilization efficiency in the jurisdictions and to improve agricultural mechanization level;take arable land protection as the core,keep the red line of arable land,and do a good job in preserving the quantity and improving the quality of arable land;take the point and surface,and develop the region in a coordinated manner.
