Research On The Adaptability Of Chinese Maize Production Technology In Mozambique

The Belt and Road Initiative is China’s proposal to promote global peace,cooperation and common development.It is a future-oriented new consensus on international cooperation.With its external features of equality and inclusiveness and its inherent features of reality,the Belt and Road Initiative embodies the vision of all countries working together to build a community with a shared future for mankind.In the 21 st century,China-Africa agricultural cooperation has been on the rise in the new era,and the contents and ways of cooperation have become more diversified.Agriculture has become a key topic of China-Africa cooperation.As an important part of China-Africa relations,China-Africa agricultural cooperation has gone through more than half a century.Since the first Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation was held in 2006,China-Africa agricultural cooperation has entered a new stage.Both China and Mozambique are agricultural countries,and maize is an important food crop for the people of both countries.To explore the effective promotion and application of Chinese maize production technology in Mozambique,this study uses literature analysis and comparative analysis to compare maize production technology and production levels between China and Mozambique from the perspective of the "One Belt One Road" initiative and SinoAfrican agricultural cooperation.The adaptation of Chinese maize production technology in Mozambique was analysed in terms of differences in natural conditions and social environment;the commonalities and complementarities of maize production between China and Mozambique were analysed in terms of ecological environment and technological conditions,and countermeasures and suggestions were put forward for cooperation in maize production between China and Mozambique.The following conclusions were drawn:1.Mozambique’s maize production technology is backward and its productivity level is low.The introduction of China’s maize production technology can effectively improve maize production efficiency,increase maize yield and achieve diversified supply of local maize products market.2.The maize production cooperation between China and Mozambique is highly complementary,and the maize production cooperation with Mozambique is an important direction of China’s investment in the maize industry.3.The central and northern areas of Mozambique are the most suitable areas for the promotion and application of maize production technology in China.According to the specific national conditions,this study gives relevant countermeasures and suggestions for realizing the efficient cooperation of the maize industry between China and Mozambique,and provides some references for Chinese agricultural enterprises or investment institutions to go global.The specific measures include:(1)further improving the policy document on the aid of Chinese agricultural experts to Africa;(2)Improve overall planning for non-agricultural support;(3)Increase the construction of China’s agricultural aid team to Africa;(4)To advocate the strategy of agricultural aid to Africa by teaching people to fish.Specific proposals include:(1)Attach importance to the significance of agricultural cooperation between China and Mozambique from a strategic height;(2)Increase the training of agricultural talents in Mozambique;(3)Strengthen technological innovation to achieve effective connection between agricultural science and technology promotion and application;(4)Correctly handle China-Mozambique relations and help Mozambique build its network information system and market supervision system.
