Benefit Analysis Of Large-Scale Production Of Ryegrass In Inner Mongolia

Ryegrass is the main forage for dairy farming in Europe and Oceania,while alfalfa and forage oat grass are the main forages for dairy farming in Inner Mongolia.The main reason is that the industry is not suitable for large-scale planting of Ryegrass in the north of China,and the benefit of planting ryegrass is not as good as planting alfalfa and forage oats.In this paper,the large-scale production and planting experiments of ryegrass were carried out in 3 typical areas of Horqin forage producing area(Balinyou Banner),Maowusu forage producing area(Wushen Banner)and Hetao forage producing area(Dengkou)of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.The yield,nutritional quality,production cost,production benefit and problems existing in the production of Ryegrass in the 3 areas were comprehensively compared,and the production suitability of large-scale planting of Ryegrass in Inner Mongolia was discussed;At the same time,the production benefits of Ryegrass in 3 regions were compared with those of forage oats in the same region,and the economic suitability of planting ryegrass in Inner Mongolia was discussed.The results are as follows:(1)The annual fresh grass yield per unit area,Silage yield and hay yield of ryegrass planted in Balinyou Banner experimental area were higher than those in Wushen Banner and Dengkou experimental area.(2)Through the comprehensive analysis of the nutritional quality of the ryegrass in different regions and different stubble times,it was found that the ryegrass planted on a large scale in Balinyou Banner had the best nutritional value.(3)The yield of large-scale planting ryegrass in Balinyou Banner experimental area was 65.01% higher than that in Dengkou and Wushen Banner experimental area.Based on the comparative analysis of forage oats in the contract area,the benefit was 7 % higher than that of planting forage oats.It is concluded that the production benefit of large-scale planting ryegrass in Balinyou Banner was the best.It is suggested that ryegrass should be planted on a large scale in Horqin forage production area of Inner Mongolia.(4)The climate and soil conditions in Horqin area(Balinyou Banner)were suitable for large-scale production of ryegrass;In Maowusu area(Wushen Banner)and Hetao area(Dengkou),there were many problems,such as heavy wind and sand in spring,low seedling survival rate,high temperature in summer,slow plant growth and so on,which were unfavorable to the large-scale production of ryegrass and needed to be further solved.
