Nutritional Characteristics Of High Amylose Corn And Application Research In Weaning Goats | | Posted on:2022-11-19 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:K Chen | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2543306812491224 | Subject:Animal Nutrition and Feed Science | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | High amylose corn is a feedstuff in which the amylose account for 55%-85% of the total starch,and it played a vital role in industries of food processing and medical care.And scholars focus on amylose in different animals,but it draws less attention in effects of high amylose corn instead of normal corn in the diet of weaning goats.Exp.1: we aimed: 1)to analyze different corn varieties(normal corn and high amylose corn)on feed nutrient levels,fourier transform infrared spectrometer(FTIR)structure and in vitro fermentation,2)to explore the correlation between the fermentation parameters in vitro and the FTIR structure.Compared with normal corn,high amylose corn significantly increased resistant starch,neutral detergent fiber(NDF),hemicellulose(HCEL)and percentage of propionate,reduced the total starch,the total gas,methane,the starch degradation rate,percentage of butyrate and acetate:propionate and increased the percentage of propionate(P<0.05);It was observed that 24 h total gas production,methane production and percentage of butyrate was inversely correlated with cellulosic compounds area and peak height,and percentage of propionate was positively correlated with cellulosic compounds area and peak height.24 h total gas,methane and the dry matter degradation rate was inversely correlated with total carbohydrate partial structure.The total VFA was positively correlated with amide II area,and was inversely correlated with area ratio and peak height ratio both amide I and amide II.Exp.2: 27 young goats(average weights of 8.97±0.19 kg)divided into three groups(A group,normal corn;B group,50% high amylose corn;C group,100% high amylose corn).Three goats from each treatment were slaughtered at 28 day.The purpose was to explore the effects of high amylose corn on the growth,digestibility and metabolism.We observed that the average daily weight gain,the apparent digestibility of feed dry matter,crude protein,neutral detergent fiber(NDF)and acid detergent fiber(ADF)were significantly improved in B and C groups(P<0.05);the group of 50% high amylose corn significantly decreased the levels of proinflammatory factor interleukin-6(IL-6)and significantly increased levels of the anti-inflammatory cytokine interleukin-10(IL-10)in the blood.Exp.3: the experimental design and animal managements were same as Exp.2.The purpose was to explore the effects of high amylose corn on caecum fermentation and microorganisms.The group of 50% high amylose corn significantly decreased the levels of proinflammatory factor interleukin-6(IL-6)in blood,the levels of proinflammatory factor—tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and IL-6 and relative abundance of cyanobacteria in cecum,and significantly increased levels of the anti-inflammatory cytokine interleukin-10(IL-10)in the blood and cecum(P<0.05).In conclusion,compared with normal corn,the fermentation of high amylose corn was slowly.And the characteristics fermentation in vitro were closely related to FTIR structure.It had positive effects that the group of 50 % high amylose corn on the growth performance,apparent digestibility and immunity in goats. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | weaning goat, high amylose corn, growth and digestion, blood biochemistry, caecum fermentation and microorganisms | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
