At present, ultrasound is more and more widely used in veterinary clinic, especially cardiac ultrasound has more specificity and accuracy in the examination of diseases in dogs and cats.Cardiac ultrasound is still difficult for veterinarians to operate and requires a long time of exercise. In this study,Doppler ultrasound was used to explore the hearts of experimental dogs and cats,in order to explore the key points of dead heart exploration technology of dogs and cats: obtain the map of each reference section of the heart, complete the identification and positioning of the structure and function of the heart, and provide a theoretical basis for clinical application in combination with the analysis of typical cases of dogs and cats.In this experiment,10 healthy poodles and British short haired cats aged 2-3 years were selected as the subjects of Doppler ultrasound exploration of the heart. The fan-shaped probe with center frequency of 7.5MHz was used to scan the hearts of feline and canine. The obtained cardiac ultrasound images were compared, and the significance of ultrasound section was analyzed and summarized from the perspective of image diagnostic value.Through the application of special position scanning in ultrasonic examination, the left apical long axis four chamber diagram、the left apical short axis five chamber diagram、the right parasternal long axis four chamber diagram、the right parasternal long axis five chamber diagram and the right parasternal short axis were measured, this paper expounds the operation specifications and technical points of ultrasonic examination of dogs and cats.According to the spatial position of the heart in the chest cavity, the cat is in the 3-6intercostals next to the right sternum, and the dog is scanned in the corresponding area between the 4th and 7th intercostals by rotating and moving the probe to obtain the map of each reference section of the dog and cat heart. Two dimensional mode, color Doppler, pulse Doppler, continuous Doppler and M-mode were used to detect heart problems qualitatively and quantitatively.By analyzing the ultrasonographic characteristics of dog and cat heart disease, the corresponding differential diagnosis methods of the disease were summarized. In addition,8 cases of Canine and Feline Heart Diseases Treated in Shanghai Anruikang pet hospital in recent 3 years were analyzed by confirmed ultrasonic diagnostic technique, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(HCM),dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM),restrictive cardiomyopathy(RCM),atrial septal defect(ASD),heart failure caused by valve degeneration, patent ductus arteriosus and myocarditis caused by feline infectious peritonitis were diagnosed. These cases have typical imaging findings on echocardiography, indicating that these images can be used in the diagnosis of clinical heart disease. Conclusion: The experiment summarized a set of systematic and complete cardiac ultrasound examination process, and obtained the standard cardiac section and operation method of dogs and cats. The cardiac anatomy of healthy poodle and English short haired cat was described.
