| In recent years, due to global warming, frequent extreme climates such as drought and blizzard, and serious deterioration of grassland ecology, the state attaches great importance to the sustainable development of grassland. In order to improve the natural environment of pastoral areas, improve the economic development of pastoral areas and improve the income level of herdsmen,a series of effective policies have been issued, such as "rest grazing" and "balance between grass and livestock".The proportion of herdsmen’s house feeding has increased, and the operation expenditure of animal husbandry has increased,Herdsmen’s borrowing behavior is becoming more and more common in pastoral areas.Herdsmen borrow money to maintain daily production and life and improve animal husbandry income and quality of life.Borrowing has become an indispensable part of the production and life of most herdsmen in pastoral areas. However, what factors promote herdsmen to borrow and whether borrowing can promote the improvement of animal husbandry income? The existing literature on the above problems is mainly concentrated in agricultural areas and more developed pastoral areas, and there is a lack of research on less developed pastoral areas.Based on this, this paper takes the underdeveloped etok banner as the research object, trying to answer the impact of borrowing behavior on animal husbandry income in underdeveloped pastoral areas, provide a theoretical basis for improving animal husbandry income in underdeveloped pastoral areas, and promote the development of local animal husbandry. This paper selects 162 herdsmen in otok banner,Ordos City,Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region as the research object, and discusses the influencing factors of herdsmen’s lending and the impact of lending behavior on animal husbandry income.Firstly, the questionnaire information is sorted out and descriptive statistics, and the personal characteristics such as the age and education level of herdsmen, the family characteristics such as the number of family labor force, the actual operating area of grassland, breeding scale, family income and expenditure level, the borrowing characteristics such as the borrowing demand, amount and flow direction of borrowing funds of herdsmen,as well as the cross analysis of income are analyzed;Secondly, probit model is used to analyze the influencing factors of lending; Finally,a multiple linear regression model is constructed to study the impact of herdsmen’s borrowing behavior on animal husbandry income. The results show that:(1)the herdsmen in Etuoke Banner have a high demand for loan funds,a large amount of loan, and the loan behavior of herdsmen is common.Generally, the loan funds are mainly used for animal husbandry production through formal financial institutions such as rural credit cooperatives and banks;(2)The age of the head of household has a significant negative impact on the lending behavior, and the living expenditure has a significant positive impact on the lending behavior, that is,the older the head of household is,the less the lending behavior is,the more the living expenditure is,the more the lending behavior is;(3)Grassland area, production expenditure and loan amount have a significant positive impact on animal husbandry income.Combined with the above conclusions, this paper puts forward the following feasible suggestions for otok banner:(1)popularize financial knowledge and improve the use efficiency of herdsmen’s loan funds;(2)Introduce financial products such as order agriculture and insurance to reduce price risk;(3)Expand the scale of lending, improve the service level of formal financial institutions, and moderately develop the informal financial market. |
