Aquaculture industry,as a basic industry in China,has developed rapidly in the past ten years.In 2017 alone,the output of freshwater aquaculture in China reached29,052,900 tons,much higher than other aquatic countries,making a strong contribution to the improvement of the national economy.Although China’s freshwater aquaculture industry has achieved great development in recent years,many freshwater aquaculture farmers are still troubled by problems such as backward infrastructure,unreasonable allocation and investment of production factors,low product quality and poor breeding environment.The construction of a high quality,efficient,green and freshwater aquaculture production area has become a concern of the state and government.In order to better understand the problem and gives Suggestions for the major operators,this article will start from freshwater aquaculture production efficiency,combined with the survey data of Guangdong province Nanhai district freshwater aquaculture farmers,in Nanhai district of yellow bone fish breeding,four and five classes in the south China sea to extensive breeding varieties to analyze production efficiency and influence factors of farmers.First of all,the development and operation status of the 50 farmers investigated were introduced and summarized.Then DEAP2.1 software was used to calculate the production efficiency of 50 farmers based on the DEA model of input,and the comprehensive efficiency,pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of farmers were analyzed and summarized.Then Malmquist production index was used to analyze the technical efficiency progress of farmers.Finally,the hypothesis of the main factors affecting the comprehensive efficiency,pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of each farmer was proposed,and the Tobit model was used to test the hypothesis.Through the above research and analysis,this paper mainly draws the following three conclusions :(1)among all aquaculture farmers in Nanhai region,the raw fish farmers have the highest comprehensive efficiency,pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency;The comprehensive efficiency of other farmers is low,mainly because the pure technical efficiency value of other farmers is low,which leads to the decline of the overall comprehensive efficiency.(2)Among the aquaculture farmers in Nanhai region,the technical efficiency of Huangguyu farmers and loach farmers improved faster,but the rate of technological progress declined.The technical efficiency of the four fishes decreased,but the rate of technological progress increased greatly.Other farmers have seen little change in their technological progress.(3)Farmers’ input in feed cost and training level generally have a significant impact on the aquaculture efficiency of freshwater aquaculture in Nanhai Region.Finally,based on the analysis of the above conclusions,the following suggestions are put forward from the government level.(1)Increase policy support to promote industrial specialization.(2)Based on quarantine measures,protect the water environment.(3)Share breeding achievements and enhance communication between different regions.From the micro level,the following suggestions are put forward :(1)optimize the input structure and adjust the input combination.(2)Expand vision and upgrade breeding technology.(3)Strengthen exchanges between farmers and fill production loopholes.
