As life and work in modern society have brought multiple hazards such as chronic illness pressure and mental fatigue to people, the number of sub-healthy people continues to increase, and people are increasingly eager to return to nature and release themselves in order to seek health promotion in a short-term restorative experience. As a result, the improvement of public health has become a hot issue in various fields. In the government work report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,China promoted "Healthy China" as a national strategy for the first time, emphasizing on improving the health of the whole people, and laying a solid and healthy foundation for the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the Chinese dream. This strategy has provided policy support and action basis for the sunrise-style development of the big health industry, and has also effectively promoted the integration and renewal of tourism, the happiness industry.Based on this, forest tourism with a natural restorative environment has become an important type of tourism that meets the needs of public health improvement, attracting more and more tourists to participate, and it is of great significance to exert a positive impact on individual health. Therefore, driven by the realistic and policy background, this article will focus on the perceived health benefits of forest tourists and explore the relationship between tourism involvement, perception of environmental restoration and health effects from the perspective of health consciousness.Based on the research objectives, this article firstly sorts out the related literature on forest tourism, tourism involvement, perception of environmental restoration, health consciousness and perceived health effects, and finds the missing content of the existing research and the problems to be solved.Based on the attention recovery theory, arousal theory and conservation of resources theory, this paper proposes the potential research hypothesis and conceptual model among the variables, taking tourism involvement as the independent variable, perception of environmental restoration as the mediator variable, health consciousness as the moderator variable and perceived health effects as the dependent variable.Secondly, the scale preparation and questionnaire design are carried out,and the formal survey is conducted on the basis of pre-survey and pre-test,and the sample data is analyzed by SPSS and AMOS software.Through the basic information of samples, recreation activity participation status and descriptive statistical information of scenic spot environmental evaluation,an overall understanding of the survey samples is formed.Besides, difference test, reliability and validity test, factor analysis, hypothesis test of structural equation model, and hypothesis test of mediating effect and moderating effect are conducted on the sample data.By summarizing the empirical research results of this article,it is found that a total of19 hypotheses out of 25 hypothetical inferences are established, and 5 hypothetical paths have not passed the test. The following conclusions are drawn:(1)The way of travel and the number of days of travel have significant difference effect on the perceived health benefits of forest tourists.(2)Tourism behavior involvement has a significant positive effect on the perceived physical, mental and social health effects of forest tourists, among which the best effect is to improve the physical health;but there is only a positive correlation between tourism psychological involvement and social health effects.(3)Both dimensions of tourism involvement can positively affect tourists’ perception of environmental restoration, and psychological involvement has the greatest impact on perception of environmental restoration.(4)The perception of environmental restoration of tourists has a significant positive correlation to the perceived physical and mental health effects of tourists.Among them, the psychological health improvement effect is more obvious, while the perception of environmental restoration has no significant direct impact on the social health effects of tourists.(5)Tourists’ perception of environmental restoration has mediating effect between the two dimensions of tourism involvement and the perceived physical and mental health effects of tourists.Among them,it plays a completely mediating role in the path of "psychological involvement-perception of environmental restoration-perceived physical and mental health effects".Part of the mediating role is played in the path of behavior involvement-perception of environmental restoration-perceived physical and mental health effects.(6)The mediating effect of perception of environmental restoration between tourism involvement and perceived health effects is moderated by forest tourists’ health consciousness, that is,there is a moderating mediating effect. Finally, based on the results of empirical research, this article puts forward the corresponding management suggestions for forest tourism destination operators to promote the quality improvement of the perceived health benefits of forest tourists in the future, from enhancing the attractiveness of tourist destinations;creating a recovery environment;guiding tourists to healthy consumption and so on.
