| The automobile industry has become a pillar industry of China’s national economy,an important indicator of a country’s competitiveness,and plays a crucial role in promoting national economic and social development.It is of practical significance to study the contribution of resources and technological progress of China’s auto industry to the growth of China’s auto industry.Based on the classical Cobb-Douglas production function,this paper introduces the factor of technological breakthrough,constructs a Solow growth model with dummy variables,and proposes for the first time the measurement method of Solow residual value method with dummy variables.This model can reflect the change of economic growth when a major technological breakthrough occurs,and has important reference significance for the policy formulation of China’s technological development.The method is applied to China’s automobile industry to measure its contribution to scientific and technological progress during 2000-2020,and the data are analyzed by least squares to obtain the elasticity coefficients of each influencing factor affecting the development of China’s automobile industry,summarize the research results,and analyze the corresponding influencing factors.The basic conclusions are:(1)from all periods,the overall trend of the contribution rate of scientific and technological progress in China’s automobile industry is rising,and the contribution of scientific and technological progress to the economic development of the automobile industry is about 40.699%,second only to capital input,which fully illustrates that scientific and technological progress plays a significant role in the economic growth of the automobile industry;(2)the lack of professional knowledge of the employees in the automobile industry cannot keep up with the rapid development of automobile technology,the labor force supply is insufficient,the impact of labor input on economic growth is insignificant,and labor productivity needs to be improved;(3)there is a large gap between the contribution rates of scientific and technological progress in the five sub-industries of the auto industry,and the overall levels are all low.Analyzing from the perspective of the average value,it is found that the contribution rate of scientific and technological progress of modified cars is the largest,about 31.624%,and the lowest for auto and motorcycle parts,-0.600%.The development within the auto industry is unbalanced,the industrial policy does not support the downstream industry enough,the shortcomings of science and technology work are becoming increasingly prominent,the enthusiasm for transformation of achievements is not high,and the transformation rate is not high.Finally,based on the measurement results and the analysis of relevant factors,we put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.(1)Establish a stable growth mechanism of financial investment in science and technology,innovate the way of investment in science and technology,give full play to the leverage of financial funds,and increase the investment in science and technology in the automobile industry.(2)Strengthen the quality cultivation of practitioners,build a high-quality scientific and technological talent echelon,enhance the leading and supporting role of scientific and technological innovation,form a good atmosphere for scientific and technological innovation talents to come out,and provide a strong impetus to accelerate the construction of a world science and technology power.(3)Gather industrial advantages,drive downstream industrial science and technology development,enhance the scientific and technological innovation capability of automobile enterprises,strengthen the awareness of independent innovation,and promote the implementation of scientific and technological innovation achievements on the ground. |
