| The significance of Beijing Hutong has grown in recent times,and the focus of people on its preservation and alteration has also been on the rise.The southern half of the Hutong,located in the historical district of Fayuan Temple in Beijing,retains the unique vertical hutong pattern since the Ming and Qing dynasties,with a profound historical background.With the development of the times,due to the lack of sustained protection and spontaneous construction by indigenous people,the environment and historical style of the Hutong are facing huge threats.From the viewpoint of micro updates,this article utilizes this as its basis for research,blending literature review,case analysis,and field research as its methods.Practice design from four aspects: spatial planning and layout,cultural space design,activation of historical heritage buildings,and micro landscape design.By integrating the overall spatial functions of hutongs,stimulating the vitality of idle spaces through intervention and micro updates,protecting and updating historical heritage buildings in hutongs,replacing their functions,and enabling them to play their due cultural and educational functions and public service functions.Enhancing the Fayuan Temple historical and cultural district,located in the southern half of the Hutong,can stimulate the vitality of the entire area. |
