| As the pillar industry of China’s national economy, the construction industry has made great contributions to the national economy, but it also faces many problems, such as backward production technology, changing customer needs, and increasingly complex project environment.Construction engineering projects involve owners, design units, construction units, suppliers and other multi-party participants, which require multi-party collaborative delivery. The traditional delivery model focuses too much on delivering products on time,on budget and on quality, and does not take into account the value demands of project stakeholders.A good business relationship under the relational delivery mode is conducive to mutual trust and knowledge sharing among participants, which not only improves the fragmentation of project implementation process, but also reduces the risk of plan failure and budget overruns, and improves project performance. However,in order to maximize the value of the project,it is necessary to meet the needs of the final customer and play the role of group value at the same time. The concept of value co-creation has changed project management from focusing on single product delivery to focusing on product and value creation as a whole. The core of value co-creation is interaction, which can not only improve the creativity and participation of project participants, but also better adapt to the changing expectations of stakeholders,co-build value propositions and improve cooperation efficiency. However, there is little research on the impact of relational delivery mode and value co-creation and the mechanism of value co-creation on project performance in China.Based on stakeholder theory and organization theory, this paper explores the relationship between relational delivery mode and project performance from the perspective of value co-creation.Firstly,this paper conducts a literature review on relational delivery mode, value co-creation,project performance and other related concepts, summarizes the connotation and principles of relational delivery mode, the concepts of value co-creation and project performance and the important theories involved, and concludes that project value co-creation is mainly composed of three important dimensions: relationship quality, shared vision and information sharing.Project performance is divided into the realization of corporate value proposition and customer satisfaction.Secondly,it constructs a theoretical model and puts forward research hypotheses, and discusses the relationship among relational delivery mode, value co-creation and project performance respectively. Then, the final measurement scale was determined through interviews,pre-research and other methods, and the questionnaires were distributed online and offline. Finally, the sample data are empirically analyzed with the help of SPSS27.0 and AMOS26.0,and the theoretical model and hypotheses are verified respectively. The results show that relational delivery mode has a positive effect on value co-creation and project performance; The three dimensions of value co-creation have a positive impact on project performance, and play a mediating effect between relational delivery mode and project performance, and demand uncertainty has a moderating effect on value co-creation and project performance. The association is weaker for lower levels of demand uncertainty. This study analyzed the relationship between relational delivery mode and project performance from the perspective of value co-creation,and confirmed the mediating effect of value co-creation on relational delivery mode and project performance. The research conclusions expand the theoretical research on value co-creation in the field of project engineering, make up for the current lack of research on the relationship between relational delivery mode and value co-creation in the domestic construction industry, and provide possible theoretical support and practical enlightenment for future research. |
