| Straight lines are one of the common basic lines in highway horizontal alignment, with the characteristics of the shortest mileage, convenient setting out,and comfortable driving. However, the long straight line landscape is monotonous, and there are shortcomings such as drivers prone to fatigue, and visual inspection of vehicle spacing is difficult, leading to frequent traffic accidents.Human beings play a leading role in the impact factors of traffic accidents, and drivers are affected by adverse environments and road alignment, resulting in improper operation, resulting in rear-end collisions, rollovers, and falls.Road landscape enclosure is closely related to traffic safety, and the magnitude of landscape enclosure significantly affects drivers’ recognition of road space and psychological performance. Therefore, the driving behavior characteristics of long straight roads under different landscape enclosures are a topic worthy of in-depth study.Based on UC-win/Road simulation software, this paper conducts simulation tests under three landscape enclosures to simulate the driving process on long straight sections of a highway, analyze the driving behavior characteristics of drivers under different landscape enclosures, and provide theoretical basis and decision-making support for the design of long straight highways. The main research content is divided into the following aspects:(1)Design of driving simulation test.Using UC-win/Road simulation software to build different monotonous landscape environments, including open, semi closed, and closed landscape environments;Drivers are divided into skilled and unskilled types based on mileage traveled.Relying on a driving simulator, collect vehicle operation data, cardiac physiological data, and eye movement data of two groups of drivers under three landscape conditions.(2)Analysis of vehicle operating characteristics and driver physiological characteristics.Select speed and lateral position offset to characterize vehicle operation status, select high-frequency HF in heart rate and frequency domain indicators to characterize driver psychological characteristics, and analyze the differences in driving behavior of the same type of drivers under three landscape enclosures,as well as the differences in driving behavior between the two types of drivers under the same landscape enclosure.(3)Analysis of driver visual characteristics.Using K-Means algorithm to cluster the driver’s gaze coordinates, the driver’s visual field plane is divided into five regions of interest, and the total gaze time of drivers in the regions of interest is compared and analyzed;Based on Markov theory, the gaze shift and steady state distribution characteristics of two types of drivers between regions of interest were studied.(4)Study on the safety threshold of highway length based on ECG indicators.A cubic fitting model of highway length based on driver’s HF is constructed, and the optimal highway length safety threshold is obtained by deriving it.The safety thresholds of highway length under three landscape enclosures are compared and analyzed. |
