From the ruined and decadent Water Town Ancient Town more than 20 years ago,to the drama town,and then to the venue of the World Internet Conference,its own classical body has been injected with the soul of a modern pioneer,and Wuzhen at this time has quietly become a microcosm of the successful transformation of village and town modernization in recent years.This article will take Benjamin’s "Aura" theory as the theoretical starting point,take the special spatial type of Wuzhen theater as the research object,and analyze and sort out the diachronic evolution and synchronic development of the viewing mode and performance culture in the theater in the process of Wuzhen theater from traditional theater to contemporary theater-based public space,and pay attention to the changes of "Aura" in Wuzhen theater.Through the study of the history of ancient Chinese theater,it is found that the shape of traditional Chinese theater is close to the form of a public space-public viewing space,and its development is inseparable from the authentic public environment intertwined with religious belief and secular entertainment,and the traditional "Aura" exudes it.Based on this background,the author selected the three traditional theaters in the history of Wuzhen,namely the temple theater,the restaurant theater and the teahouse theater,as the research objects,and found that the existence of traditional theater is dependent on the subjective architecture and specific social events,and the "Aura" in traditional theater refers to the "Authenticity" of the performance.However,with the advent of modernity,the reconstruction of Wuzhen Scenic Area has brought modern replication technology,affecting this water town,and the theater has begun to be copied and demolished in large quantities,and the "Aura" in the theater is gradually disappearing after entering the modern era.The examination of traditional theater leads to three pairs of reflections:seeing and being seen,real and illusory,and immediate and enduring thinking,which make me reexamine the relationship between traditional theater and contemporary public space.The author believes that these three relationships appear in another form in contemporary theatrical public spaces.The injection of the Wuzhen Drama Festival has promoted the construction of contemporary public space in Wuzhen.During the festival,Wuzhen became a huge theater in itself,and the concept of "theater" was gradually generalized.This made the author realize that the significance of contemporary theater is no longer limited to theater in a "narrow sense",but gradually expands to the contemporary public sphere beyond theater,forming a "theatrical public space",which is essentially close to traditional theater.Therefore,the theater in the contemporary public sphere has absorbed the public performance characteristics of traditional theater,and let the "Aura" in the theater reappear. |
