| The reflective ring is an aid to enhance traffic safety inside tunnels, but the criteria for setting them in spiral tunnels are currently unclear and further research is needed. In this thesis, the effect of reflective rings in spiral tunnels is investigated by using the Ganhazi spiral tunnel as a research object and conducting both real-world and simulated driving experiments. On the basis of this study, different options for setting the spacing of the reflective ring were designed and simulated driving experiments were conducted to construct a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model to analyse the effect of the reflective ring under different spacing options. The specific research content includes the following four parts:(1)Research on the relationship between reflective rings and tunnel traffic safety in tunnels. This study will summarise the relevant methodologies and research results at home and abroad on the effect of in-tunnel sightline guidance facilities, and investigate the relationship between in-tunnel sightline guidance facilities and tunnel traffic safety.(2)Investigate the effect of anti-halo in spiral tunnels based on real vehicle experiments. The data were analysed and found that the reflective ring in the spiral tunnel had an effect on the driver, and the data were analysed by cluster analysis.(3)Design of the reflective ring spacing and simulation of driving scenarios.Based on a review of relevant data, different reflective ring spacing scenarios were designed for 60 m,80m,100 m,120m and 140 m.(4)Evaluation of the effect of spiral tunnel reflective rings.A fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model was constructed to evaluate the effectiveness of the reflective halo for different road sections and to select the most effective solution. The results show that the solution with a 100 m reflective halo spacing has the highest overall score in the whole and middle sections of the spiral tunnel, while the solution with an 80 m reflective halo spacing has the highest overall score in the entrance and exit sections. The results of this study can be used as a reference for the installation of sightline guidance facilities such as reflective rings in spiral tunnels, which can help to improve traffic safety in spiral tunnels. |
