Research On Preservation And Inheritance Strategy Of Lhasa Barkhor Historic Block From The Perspective Of Cultural Gene

With the background of China’s urban development mode gradually shifting from "incremental expansion" to "stock optimization," the protection,inheritance and development of historic districts,as the living cultural heritage of urban space,are also facing new opportunities.Built during the Tubo Dynasty,Barkhor Street is located in the center of the ancient city of Lhasa,surrounded by the Jokhang Temple.For the "Sunshine City" with a long history,this street and temple is not only an important witness of the integration of Han and Tibetan culture in terms of urban spatial form,but also an important carrier of condenses the common historical memory of multi-ethnic groups in China.In the face of the new development trend of Tibet and the diversified development needs of Barkhor Street,how to scientifically and effectively protect the historical districts and their resource value,and constantly promote the communication and integration among various ethnic groups,has become a major issue to be solved urgently in the development of Tibet.In this paper,the historical geography and regional cultural basis of Barkhor Street are analyzed from the perspective of cultural genes,and the evolution characteristics and context of its spatial form are analyzed.Meanwhile,the cultural gene elements of Barkhor Street are identified and extracted and the gene map is constructed.Finally,this paper evaluates the value of the gene elements of Barkhor Street,analyzes and summarizes the realistic difficulties it faces,and puts forward the protection and inheritance strategies of blocks,such as promoting the inheritance of high-quality gene ontology,revitalizing the core regional cultural characteristics,and formulating the control framework of morphological guidelines,so as to realize the whole process of benign inheritance of cultural genes.The main content of the paper includes the following three parts:I.Sorting out the evolution of spatial pattern of Barkhor Street.By analyzing the historical and geographical basis of Lhasa ancient city,including: historical evolution,geographical location,natural ecology,this paper summarizes the natural concept of harmonious coexistence of "mountain","water" and "city" in Lhasa ancient city.This paper analyzes the regional cultural foundation of Barkhor Street from the five main lines of Tibetan Buddhism as the core,theock-government unity as the clue,integration and mutual embedding as the essence,customary conversion to classics as the main vein,trade gathering as the characteristics,and concludes the environmental background of the formation of Barkhor Street’s cultural genes.Internalize the beginning period,lost reconstruction period,integration and regeneration period and innovation evolution period,summarize the spatial characteristics of each stage and longitudinally compare their changes to summarize the context of spatial evolution.II.Cultural gene identification and extraction system of Barkhor Street.According to the two attributes of "material" and "immaterial",the historical and cultural elements of Barkhor Street are summarized and sorted out,and the qualitative and quantitative methods including space syntax,morphological quantitative index analysis,functional mixing degree analysis,feature deconstruction and typology are used to construct the cultural gene identification system of Barkhor Street.From the two levels of "visible" and "hidden",this paper analyzes the characteristics and composition of its cultural gene elements,which are refined into the pattern of streets,courtyard space,architectural form,historical culture,social culture,economic culture and other cultural gene elements,and then constructs the cultural gene map of Barkhor Street.Ⅲ.Gene value evaluation,inheritance and control of Barkhor Street.The AHP analytic hierarchy process was used to construct the evaluation index system of gene value of Barkhor Street with 9 categories and 27 indexes.According to the value evaluation results and attribution analysis,the protection and inheritance strategies of Barkhor Street cultural genes are put forward based on the inheritance dilemma of Barkhor Street cultural genes,including promoting the inheritance of high-quality gene ontology,revitalizing the core regional cultural characteristics,and formulating the control framework of morphological criteria,so as to realize the sustainable and healthy development of Barkhor Street under the premise of giving consideration to both protection and inheritance.
