Street has always been an indispensable public space for People’s Daily life and communication,as well as the outdoor place with the most accessible and highest usage rate.Its safety problem has been widely concerned for a long time,but in recent years,with the rapid urbanization development and the surge in the number of motor vehicles,as the veins of the city Problems such as poor walking environment,imbalance of right of way between people and vehicles,and difficulty in ensuring street safety are widespread in urban streets at the present stage.People’s vision of a safe and comfortable street life is increasingly difficult to maintain,and the importance of street space safety has become a consensus of the whole society In this context,this paper takes the objective material environment of urban street space and the subjective safety perception of users as the research subject,carries out both subjective and objective safety evaluation of urban street space,and proposes optimization strategies to improve the safety of urban street space on this basis.Firstly,the paper interprets the concept and defines the scope of the street space safety and safety evaluation of bioactive streets,and sorts out the relevant literature and theoretical research at home and abroad,summarizes and analyzes the material environmental factors affecting the safety of urban streets,and summarizes the existing safety problems of Chinese urban street space at the present stage.Secondly,the paper constructs an evaluation index system for the spatial safety of urban living streets.On the basis of establishing the construction principles of the evaluation system,it extracts and selects safety evaluation indicators,and ultimately constructs a quantitative method for safety indicators,providing a methodological basis for the quantitative analysis of the surveyed streets in subsequent chapters.Thirdly,through online research and data screening,the paper summarized and graphically expressed the current situation of the streets in the area of Xi’an Ring Expressway.By climbing the POI data of Baidu Map and Gaode Map,the paper obtained the overlay map of catering,shopping,life services,public facilities and other elements strongly related to the living streets in the Second Ring Road of Xi’an as the basis for selecting sample streets,Finally,two living streets in Xi’an were selected as the study sample streets,introducing the general situation of the studied street samples,conducting basic research and analysis on street safety in terms of space environment and crowd behavior activities,and quantifying the questionnaire results on the basis of statistical survey questionnaires,so as to obtain the analysis results of the investigated street safety,providing theoretical support for the subsequent design and optimization of streets with low safety evaluation.Finally,on the basis of the above,after in-depth investigation,it is concluded that there are three types of safety problems in the street,namely,traffic safety activities and defense safety The optimization strategy of street space security from the three levels of defense is elaborated in detail.Through the discussion of specific design schemes,the current safety issues of the sample streets are solved one by one,After simulating the safety evaluation method after use,the safety of the sample streets is re evaluated to determine the optimization effect of this scheme.Finally,the research conclusions and innovation points of this article are elaborated,and the shortcomings and future prospects of this study are pointed out.
