Research On The Renewal Design Of Xi ’an Life Streetscape From The Perspective Of Inclusiveness

In the inventory planning period of old city renewal,problems such as sameness of renewal results and lack of public activity space have been exposed more and more.It does not consider the existing neighborhood relations and regional living characteristics in the city,which makes it difficult for the indigenous people to survive in the living space.Living street is the main physical space carrier of various living situations of people in the ancient city of Xi ’an.However,in today’s urban era,street space is gradually compressed and becomes a "channel" to meet traffic requirements.Therefore,optimizing existing street space to meet and promote more daily activities is an important content to realize inclusive renewal and development.Starting from theoretical research,this paper summarizes the current main research methods and update contents of inclusive design and street design by combing related theories and research methods of inclusive design and street renewal.Dongcangmen,a living street in Beilin District of Xi ’an,is selected as the research object to investigate and study the current situation of its material environment as well as social and spiritual environment.Create an inclusive and updated design for the street space.Using PSPL survey method,Arcgis software analysis,questionnaire survey and other research methods,this study conducted questionnaire survey,interview survey,tracking observation and other field surveys on street material space,cultural environment and crowd activity characteristics from both quantitative and qualitative,subjective and objective perspectives.According to the existing street space,the paper summarizes the status quo of the material and cultural environment in the street,including boundary space,street space scale,facility greening,parking and traffic space,sidewalk proportion,cultural space distribution,architectural style along the street,feature facilities and so on.Statistical analysis of crowd social activities was carried out through questionnaire survey,drawing street kernel density analysis chart and behavior note chart,etc.The gathering points and space-time rules of street crowd behavior activities were summarized,and the spatial environment requirements of living streets were summarized.Based on the above investigation and research on the status quo of street space,the basic principle of renewal design is established,and the strategy and method of renewal of street space based on inclusiveness is proposed.Taking Dongcangmen Street as a case,the design practice of field space is carried out on the basis of facing street life,access and cultural value.In order to provide some theoretical and practical reference value for the future development of the existing living street landscape in Xi ’an.
