Research On The Construction Techniques Of Traditional Tiandou Houses In Southern Hubei

Southern Hubei is short for southern inland province of Hubei in central China,which is located on the integration point of Jiangxi,Hunan,Hubei and other provinces as radiation to each other.Its traditional houses are influenced by the regional culture,natural conditions,social and economic factors,and gradually form the unique regional characteristics of dwellings and construction technique system in a long time.As the core of traditional residential construction,construction technology contains profound cultural connotation and folk wisdom.However,nowadays,with the trend of urbanization becoming more and more significant,traditional residential buildings are facing the impact of modern construction technology,destruction of village features and the verge of disappearance,and so on.As a result,the construction technology of traditional residential buildings and its material carrier are facing the threat of diversity and are in danger.In addition,previous studies mainly focused on history and culture,style and features,space and technology,while systematic studies on construction technology have a lot of gaps and omissions,and the protection and inheritance work is progressing slowly.Therefore,it is urgent to sort out and record the gradual loss of Tiandou residential construction technology.In this academic thesis,we focus on the study of the traditional Tiandou-style houses in the southern part of the country,with their traditional construction techniques as the main research content.Based on field research and mapping,interviews and records,and using a combination of documentary analysis,summarisation and computer-aided methods,this academic thesis presents an exhaustive study of the traditional houses construction techniques and their physical carriers in South Hubei,consisting of three main parts.This academic thesis carries out research in the order of "problem finding--problem analysis--problem solving",taking traditional Tiandou-style houses in southern Hubei as research samples and traditional construction techniques as the core research content.On the basis of field survey,survey,visit and record,comprehensive use of literature analysis,summary,computer aided and other methods,carried out a detailed study on the construction technology system of traditional residential buildings in southern Hubei,including three parts of work:First of all,the academic thesis uses literature analysis and summary induction to analyze the natural and cultural environment background and other factors in the region.On this basis,combined with the results of actual state research,the academic thesis makes a detailed discussion on the formation reasons,distribution status,architectural characteristics(classification,overall layout,plane,elevation and section,etc.)of traditional Tiandou style residential buildings from the architectural level.Then,taking construction techniques as the entry point,on the basis of actual state survey and mapping,using literature analysis,summary induction,computer aided and other methods,the construction techniques of traditional Tiandou-style residential buildings in southern Hubei are summarized according to the sorting out of their construction logic system,including the static analysis of construction technology components.And in the form of dynamic,text chart complete record of the construction process,technical points and construction practices.Finally,based on the detailed construction technology,this academic thesis summarizes the value status quo of traditional residential construction technology protection and inheritance,and puts forward the protection and inheritance strategies and measures with "inheritance" and "timeliness" as the guidance.Through research,this academic thesis completed the collation and record of the construction technology of traditional Tiandou-style residential buildings in southern Hubei,established the construction process of Tiandou-style residential buildings,summarized the value of protection and inheritance,and put forward reasonable and effective protection and inheritance strategies based on the status quo and problems of protection and inheritance of traditional construction technology,which is conducive to the sustainable development of traditional Tiandou-style residential buildings in southern Hubei.At the same time,this study can also provide reference for the follow-up research or practice.
