Study On The Optimization Strategy Of Rural Settlement Space In Dun Huang Area For Ecological Livability

With the rapid development of the economy and the significant improvement of urbanization level,the binary opposition between urban and rural areas is becoming increasingly severe.The vast rural areas are facing problems such as disorderly development of land resources,serious pollution of the ecological environment,and fragmentation of rural landscapes,which has put the vast rural areas at risk of decline.The report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2022 proposes to build livable and beautiful rural areas,achieve ecological livability in rural areas,continuously improve living environments,and deeply ingrain green production and lifestyle.The Dunhuang region,located at the westernmost end of the Hexi Corridor,is a typical representative of desert oases,and its ecological problems are more prominent.The construction of suitable living environments is more urgent.With the goal of "ecological livability",based on the scientific theory of human settlements,using the research methods of architecture and landscape ecology,this paper analyzes the spatial characteristics of rural settlements in Dunhuang area at different scales and levels by combining qualitative and quantitative methods,summarizes the ecological livability problems in the spaces at different levels,and proposes targeted space optimization strategies.The study first sorts out the relevant theories and construction standards of "ecological livability",and then proposes ecological livability standards suitable for the research area.Secondly,analyze the influencing factors,spatial characteristics,and current situation of rural settlement space in Dunhuang area.On this basis,with the goal of ecological livability,quantitative research was conducted on the ecological characteristics of rural environmental space,livability of settlement space,and applicability of residential building space from three levels: macro,meso,and micro.Based on the previous text,it was summarized that there are contradictions between settlement development and ecological construction in rural settlements in Dunhuang area,low quality of living environment in settlement areas,and low comfort of residential buildings There are four issues with the lack of a sound long-term mechanism for space maintenance.Finally,based on the above research findings,targeted optimization strategies for rural settlement space in Dunhuang region are proposed under the guidance of ecological livability goals,including macro level area integration with national planning,meso level improvement of living environment,micro level improvement of residential comfort,and construction of long-term spatial maintenance mechanisms.In summary,by adjusting and optimizing the spatial levels of villages in the study area,rural settlements can further meet the requirements of ecological and livable rural construction,providing reference for the sustainable development of rural settlements in Dunhuang region.
