In the 1940s,the master of phenomenology,Maurice Merleau-Ponty,proposed the theory that "the body is a medium that exists in the world, and having a body means perceiving and intervening in a specific environment through the body’s senses." This theory emphasizes the important role of the body in perception and intervention in the environment. In the past 80 years, human technological civilization has entered the era of artificial intelligence, and traditional perceptual space has been challenged by new technologies.Based on the cognitive boundaries of physical space in design, traditional perceptual space is also facing reshaping. The rise of the metaverse concept has driven the development of mixed reality technology. In this technological context, the fusion of virtual space and physical space has better technical means, and the exploration of the fusion of virtual and real spaces and the audience’s cognitive experience has practical significance in research and future exploration of the application of digital scenes in museums and the broader future.Based on the embodied behavior of perception in the "phenomenology theory," this article constructs a framework that regards the body as a medium to explore the application potential of museum virtual and real mixed space placed under "perception," deeply studies the perception link under mixed reality technology among "perception, body, and architecture," constructs a museum virtual and real mixed perception field with embodied behavioral characteristics, presents the application scenarios of virtual and real mixed space, and eliminates the perceptual ambiguity of the subject in virtual and real mixed space. At the empirical design level, the museum’s virtual and real mixed space is taken as the starting point, combined with mixed reality technology. On a macro level, the inherent laws between technological space and perceptual space in the era of artificial intelligence are explored. On a meso level, the digital transformation of museum space under the background of digital technology is studied. On a micro level, the perceptual theory in phenomenology is referenced to construct the museum’s virtual and real mixed space. From the perspective of subject perception, the relationship between technology and space is reorganized to provide a new spatial perspective for the design of future museum spaces in the digital age.
