Due to the complexity of road network structure,there are many conflicts between motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles at urban road intersections in China.The unclear traffic space at intersections brings great risks to slow traffic.Therefore,this paper intends to carry out the application research of color asphalt mixture in the optimization design of intersection slow traffic from the aspects of strengthening the visibility of slow traffic and clarifying the right of slow traffic.Color asphalt mixture is vigorously promoted and applied because of its unique color advantages and performance advantages.Nowadays,the application of color asphalt pavement technology in foreign urban roads is more popular than that in China.But the application research level of colored asphalt pavement in China has been basically synchronized with the international level,it is mainly used in parks,greenways,bicycle lanes and special lanes in China,and is not widely used in urban intersections.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out the application of color asphalt pavement in slow traffic at intersections.It is particularly important to select environmentally friendly color asphalt mixture with quality standards.Therefore,this paper applies color asphalt mixture to the optimization design of slow traffic at intersections,aiming at the problems of unenvironmental protection of slow traffic at intersections,unclear distribution of road rights,and long crossing distance.On the one hand,for the color asphalt mixture used in the slow traffic travel environment,the selection of raw materials and the design mix ratio are carried out.According to the design mix ratio,the test specimen is made for the road performance test,so that the raw materials can be correctly selected and the scientific mix ratio design can be carried out.To ensure that the color asphalt mixture used meets the requirements of engineering application,to ensure slow traffic comfort and environmental protection.On the other hand,by setting the pedestrian crossing island and non-motor vehicle traffic space with color asphalt pavement,and combining with the phase timing optimization of slow traffic coordinated crossing,the slow traffic organization is optimized to realize the safe and efficient travel of slow traffic.The main research results are as follows:(1)Firstly,the quality of color asphalt mixture used in slow traffic needs to be guaranteed.In order to achieve good road performance and be relatively environmentally friendly,it is necessary to select raw materials and design mix ratio,which is the important to ensure the quality of color asphalt mixture.In addition,color asphalt has a variety of colors,and different colors should be used to distinguish different slow traffic groups.In this study,the amount of pigment in the color asphalt mixture was determined to be 3 %,and the oil-stone ratio was 4.8 %.Then,the road performance of asphalt mixture is tested and discussed,so as to ensure the quality of asphalt mixture and lay a foundation for further research on the application of color asphalt mixture in slow traffic at intersections.(2)Secondly,the intersection resources should be scientifically and rationally allocated to ensure the safety and efficiency of slow traffic travelers.Therefore,it is necessary to optimize the design of slow traffic organization at intersections.Therefore,from the perspective of space and time separation,this paper proposes to optimize the slow traffic organization at intersections under the guidance of colored asphalt pavement with the goal of traffic safety and efficiency.The pedestrian crossing island and non-motor vehicle traffic space are constructed by color asphalt,and the slow traffic organization is optimized by combining the phase timing optimization of slow traffic coordinated crossing,so as to ensure the safety of slow traffic crossing and improve the operation efficiency of intersections.(3)Finally,a method of analyzing the affect of color asphalt road on slow traffic at intersection is proposed.Taking the actual intersection as an example,based on the principle of space-time resource integration design,combined with the colored asphalt pavement to guide the slow traffic at the intersection,VISSIM simulation is used to show the traffic operation at the intersection.Through 3D animation,it is observed that the conflict between non-motor vehicles and motor vehicles is greatly reduced after the construction of slow traffic space with colored asphalt pavement,which ensures the safety of slow traffic crossing at the intersection.Finally,the average travel time of slow traffic(pedestrians,non-motor vehicles)is used as the evaluation index to verify the method proposed in this paper.The results show that the proposed optimization scheme significantly reduces the conflict between slow traffic and motor vehicles during the street clearance time,and effectively reduces the average travel time of slow traffic. |
