Colored asphalt pavement has bright color characteristics,which can beautify the road environment;it can also play a role in guiding sight,reminding warnings,and distinguishing functions,which is conducive to traffic safety;the application of colored asphalt pavement can reduce the harmful and toxic substances produced in the mixing and paving process of traditional asphalt mixture,which is conducive to environmental protection.Nowdays,colored asphalt pavement has been applied in ours’ home.However,the research and application for colored asphalt pavement in cold regions are very limited.Starting from the study of colored asphalt in cold regions,the performance of colored asphalt concrete and colored micro-surfacing in sunch regions are systematically tested in this paper,which is of great significance for the research and application of this technology in cold regions.Firstly,the raw materials for the preparation of colored asphalt—saturated hydrocarbon A,petroleum resin B,copolymer C,copolymer D,and plasticizer E are selected in this paper,and a more detailed developing process for colored asphalt is summaried;The effect of the amount of each component on the performance of colored asphalt is studied.Based on the features of cold areas and performance of colored asphalt,the ratio of composition of colored asphalt used in colored asphalt concrete pavement and colored emulsified asphalt are given in the paper.Secondly,using the color asphalt prepared in the laboratory to define the mix design of the CAC-13 asphalt concrete and determine the optimal color pigment content and the optimal asphalt content.The road performance experiments of the colored asphalt concrete are carried out and the results show that colored asphalt concrete has excellent low temperature crack resistance,it’s suitable for use in cold regions especially,and the high temperature stability and water stability also meet the requirements of the specification.The emulsifier,PH regulator,stabilizer,and modifier are selected in the paper.By using the preparation process of emulsification and modification,the colored modified emulsified asphalt is developed.The optimum dosage ranges of emulsifier,PH regulator,stabilizer and modifier are determined in the paper;the mix proportion design of CMS-3 colored micro-surfacing is carried out to determine the optimum amount of emulsified asphalt,and the performance experiments of the colored micro-surfacing are studied,and the results display that the colored micro-surfacing has a good sealing effect and anti-slip properties;the Wet Track Abrasion Test and the Rotating Bottle Test show that the colored micro-surfacing has a good resistance to water damage.In addition,the Rutting Test is used to simulate the action of the tires to quantify the residual degree of tire traces on the surface of the rut plate after wheel rolling,and the color durability of the colored asphalt concrete pavement is evaluated in the paper;The Stability And Resistance To Compaction Test is used to quantifythe the residual degree of the tires trace on the surface of the test specimen after the rolling of the rubber wheel,and the color durability of the colored micro-surfacing is evaluated in the paper.Finally,the economy of colored asphalt,colored asphalt concrete pavement and colored micro-surfacing are analyzed at the end of the article. |
