In 2022,General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized cultural construction and encouraged us to draw strength from our cultural confidence,which is the lifeblood of our nation and the spiritual home of our people.It is a consensus in our society to inherit and promote excellent traditional Chinese culture.Currently,Zhejiang is vigorously promoting the strategy of becoming a strong cultural province,and research on the local culture of Zhejiang is an important aspect of this strategy.As a part of China’s ancient education system,the academy has lasted for thousands of years and has a strong vitality.Research on the academy has presented a more prosperous appearance,excavating the excellent traditional cultural genes,and explaining the cultural and educational significance and contemporary influence value,becoming an important perspective for the study of the internal factors of cultural and educational inheritance.This article focuses on exploring the aesthetic characteristics and features of water village academies,providing artistic reference and policy guidance for the protection and design of architectural heritage.From the perspective of "humanistic academy-water village environment-artistic aesthetics",this article examines the cultural background of water village academies in northern Zhejiang province through literature review and field investigation,discussing the intrinsic connection between water village architecture and humanistic environment,as well as the influence of water village academies on Zhejiang’s cultural tradition.This study excavates and sorts out the cultural research connotations of water village academies in northern Zhejiang province,providing a typical regional case support for Zhejiang’s regional cultural research.Based on this,Nuan Village Academy in Northern Zhejiang water village is taken as the design object,integrating aesthetic awareness and means into the design practice,enabling Zhejiang academies to be inherited and promoted as a cultural geographic identifier of regions south of the Yangtze River,and more importantly,it can also be regarded as an extension and regeneration of cultural space,providing new possibilities for the expansion of rural education architecture.
