Now there are many numbers of heritage type scenic spots in China, and some small towns adjacent to heritage scenic area.it adjacent resources have better conditions to become tourism and leisure destination. However, with the development of tourism and the planning and construction of small towns, to bring all sorts of contradictions and problems cann’t be ignored for small towns, such as heritage scenic spot resources are destroyed, the town lost cultural connotation, the town of landscape follow the same pattern. People began to realize that this does not consider the characteristics of their own, from the local economic, cultural foundation, blindly, copy, folk culture and art is suppressed and neglected phenomenon, brought a serious crisis to heritage scenic area and the adjacent small town. The development and protection of how to deal with the small town, the town is able to protect their own characteristics in the development at the same time, worth over in one’s mind.This paper reveals the problems of China’s urbanization process and the rapid development of the tourism industry under the background of small town. At the same time, through the study of the dynamic tracking of small town development at home and abroad, and combined with the heritage scenic area, scenic heritage tourist town and city style concept, the significance of this study, to develop a research framework of this article.
