Resources Survey And Garden Applications Value Evaluation On The Wild Plants In Wuhuang Mountain National Geopark

Abstract/Summary:
In modern urban greening landscape,landscape convergence makes urban characteristics and cultural features slowly weaken;as civilization continues to progress,people’s pursuit of humanistic spirit and cultural sentiment is increasingly elevated.Obviously,common garden plants have become increasingly difficult to meet the requirements of various plant landscapes,and the need to develop wild native plant resources has become increasingly prominent.In order to provide more reference data for future urban landscape creation,this study takes the wild ornamental plants of Wuhuang Mountain National Geological Park in Pubei County,Qinzhou City,Guangxi Province as the research object,and investigates and analyzes their species richness,zonal characteristics,plant colors and comprehensive development values.The main research results are as follows:(1)Wuhuang Mountain National Geopark has a total of 125 families and 406 genera and658 species of wild plants,including 17 families and 29 genera and 50 species of ferns,2families and 2 genera and 2 species of gymnosperms,and 106 families and 375 genera and606 species of angiosperms(17 families and 67 genera and 87 species of monocotyledons,and 89 families and 308 genera and 519 species of dicotyledons).Herbaceous life type is the most abundant,291 species,accounting for 44.22% of the total number of species.There are18 families in the dominant family(containing 10 species and above),4 families in the epithet family(IV>0.66),18 genera in the dominant genus(containing 5 species and above),and 2genera in the epithet genus(IV>7.15).(2)The 125 families distributed in this geopark can be divided into 12 distribution zones and 3 distribution zone variants in terms of flora;the 406 plant genera can be divided into 15 distribution zones and 9 distribution zone types.Except for the world wide distribution type,the geographic distribution of plant families and genera in the study area are all dominated by the pantropical distribution type,showing a strong tropical nature as a whole and interspersed with northern temperate components.(3)According to the trait characteristics and ornamental properties of plants,the wild plants in this geopark are divided into six major categories,namely,flower-viewing(239species of 159 genera in 64 families),fruit-viewing(134 species of 83 genera in 49 families),leaf-viewing(201 species of 137 genera in 67 families),shape-viewing(163 species of 107 genera in 48 families),and vines(108 species of 70 genera in 31 families).165 species of plants containing two or more ornamental traits are divided into 115 genera in 66 families.(4)In the wild ornamental plant evaluation system,the main limiting factor is the exploitation value(weight value 0.4413),followed by the ornamental characteristics(weight value 0.3560)and ecological adaptability(weight value 0.2027)in the constraint level.In the standard layer,the degree of exploitation(weight value 0.1432)was the main influencing factor in the exploitation value,stem shape(weight value 0.0318)was the main influencing factor in the ornamental characteristics,and stress resistance(weight value 0.0763)was the main influencing factor in the ecological adaptability.The results show that when analyzing the comprehensive value of plants,their exploitation value should be considered first,among which the degree of realistic exploitation of plants is a particularly important aspect to consider,and if they are already heavily exploited,it is not necessary to make them a priority in this evaluation.(5)The color information of plant petals,fruits and leaves in this geopark was collected by NCS color scanner,and 141 standard colors were identified in the wild ornamental plants of this geopark,distributed in 10 color families and 29 hues,with the color families mainly concentrated in the green-yellow family,purple-red family and lime green family,and the hues were mainly G50 Y,G70Y and G80 Y,lacking blue family and green-blue family.(6)The wild ornamental plants in the study area can be divided into eight categories for garden applications,with flowerbeds and borders(containing 40 species)dominating,followed by flowering trees(containing 34 species),and other types in descending order:ground covers(containing 25 species),garden scenery(containing 8 species),vertical greening(containing 8 species),hedges(containing 7 species),walkways(containing 5species),and shade(containing 2 species).The plant viewing season is mainly in summer(92species),followed by autumn(72 species),spring(63 species)and winter(39 species).
