In recent years,in order to ensure the quality of highway use,the maintenance technology of slurry seal has been widely used to restore the function of road surface and prevent further damage of highway.On the one hand,the aggregate used by the traditional slurry seal mixture is stone.With the continuous increase of highway mileage and highway maintenance mileage,the shortage of natural stone is becoming more and more serious in our country,and finding a substitute for natural stone has become an urgent problem to be solved in the development of highway in our country.On the other hand,as a kind of industrial waste slag,high-carbon ferrochrome slag not only occupies a large amount of land resources and the effective utilization rate is very low,and high-carbon ferrochrome slag has the advantages of hard texture,low pressure crushing value and no harmful substances,in view of this,this thesis will replace the basalt in the slurry sealing mixture of high-carbon ferrochrome slag,explore its road performance,laying the foundation for the utilization of high-carbon ferrochrome slag resources.In order to ensure that the slurry sealing mixture has good pavement performance,this thesis firstly studies the binder-emulsified asphalt in the slurry sealing layer,and selects the slow cracking and fast setting emulsifier and SBR latex to emulsify the asphalt.According to the material characteristics of the emulsifier and the modifier,6 dosage amounts were selected,the emulsifier dosage was 1.5%,1.6%,1.7%,1.8%,1.9% and 2.0%,and the modifier dosage was: 2.0%,2.2%,2.4%,2.6%,2.8%,3.0%,respectively,through the stability of the modified emulsified asphalt,Engla viscosity and its three indicators of evaporation residue test,finally the best dosage of emulsifier is 1.8%,the best dosage of SBR latex is 2.6%,under this dosage,The comprehensive performance of modified emulsified asphalt is the best.Physical and chemical indexes of basalt and high carbon ferrochrome slag are tested to ensure that they can meet the aggregate requirements in the slurry sealing mix;Different grade basalt screening tests were carried out,and the mix design was carried out according to the ES-3 grade matched basalt aggregate.Based on the equal volume substitution method,the high carbon ferrochrome slag was used to replace the basalt with different particle sizes.Through consistency test,mixing test,load wheel clay test and 1h wet wheel wear test,the optimal oil-stone ratio under different test schemes was determined.In order to explore the influence of different particle sizes of high-carbon ferrochrome slag on road performance,the slurry sealing mixture prepared by the optimal ratio of oil stone was tested.The test results show that: 2.36-4.75 mm high-carbon ferrochrome slag can reduce the change rate of the swing before and after the wear of the slurry seal,and is more conducive to the anti-skid performance of the road surface.The high carbon ferrochrome slag of 4.75-9.5mm is more conducive to the rutting resistance and high and low temperature performance of the slurry sealing mixture.The addition of high carbon ferrochrome slag is beneficial to the rutting resistance,high temperature performance,low temperature performance and skid resistance of the slurry sealing mixture,which will reduce the water damage resistance of the mixture to a certain extent,but can still meet the road performance requirements.
