Research On Risk Identification And Evaluation Of General Contractor Under EPC Model

In recent years,with the increase in construction projects,the EPC general contracting mode has gradually been widely used.The EPC mode based on the integration of design,procurement,and construction can effectively reduce the corresponding burden on the owner,and the contractor can also orderly promote the smooth implementation of the project through the integrated mode.However,in the EPC mode,the vast majority of risks are transferred to the contractor.For contractors,risk management has also become one of the key elements of their project management.Based on this background,this thesis conducts research on risk management of the general contracting model,and proposes countermeasures combined with corresponding risks.Firstly,by summarizing the research of domestic and foreign experts and scholars,and combining research and theory such as EPC general contracting mode and risk management,we will classify and identify possible non risk factors,thereby forming risk categories and risk factors.Combined with the elaboration of risk factors,we will establish a risk indicator evaluation system for EPC contractors under the EPC mode.Through the formation of a list of risk indicators,the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)is used to assign weights to corresponding risk factors,and the efficacy coefficient method is used to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of risks,establishing a risk assessment system for EPC general contractors.Finally,through a practical case-a project in C City,a risk assessment was conducted,and the level of risk faced by the current contractor was measured,and targeted risk control measures were proposed based on specific risks.This article carries out general contractor risk research based on the EPC model,which can effectively understand the general contractor risk under the EPC model,and establish a corresponding evaluation system based on the hierarchical and efficacy analysis method.It can measure the general contractor risk under the current EPC model,and also provide reference and reference for corresponding enterprises to help them conduct risk assessment based on their own characteristics and develop risk management measures,It can effectively improve the risk management and control ability of the general contractor under the EPC mode in China,thereby improving the overall level of the construction industry in China.
