| With the continuous deepening of economic globalization, shortened product life cycle, the competition between enterprises is increasingly fierce, innovation has become the first driving force of the development of the enterprise with high quality. The automobile manufacturing industry is called the "crown of modern industry",standing as a symbol of a country’s level of manufacturing industry development. Therefore,it is necessary to discuss the antecedent variables of innovation and development of automobile manufacturing enterprises.Innovation performance is an indicator that measures the level of benefits brought by innovation activities to enterprises, and exerts a guiding influence on whether enterprises will continue to engage in innovative activities.Quality infrastructure can help enterprises to improve product quality and technical level, and is an important technical support for enterprise innovation and development. Most of the existing studies on quality infrastructure and innovation performance focus on the regional and industry levels. As the specific "executor" of quality infrastructure, the enterprise can directly reflect the effect of quality infrastructure on innovation performance. Therefore,it is of vital importance to explore how the automobile manufacturing enterprise is to promote innovation performance through quality infrastructure is of vital importance for the high-quality development of China’s economy.Based on the above background, this study selects automobile manufacturing enterprises as the research object to investigate the influence path between quality infrastructure and innovation performance.Firstly,by sorting out relevant previous studies,we define the concepts and divide the dimensions of quality infrastructure, open innovation, absorptive capacity and innovation performance.Secondly, based on resource-based theory and dynamic capability theory, open innovation and absorptive capacity are introduced into the research framework of quality infrastructure and innovation performance as mediating variables and moderating variables respectively, and research hypotheses are put forward and the theoretical model is constructed. Then, based on the questionnaire survey method, the questionnaire was designed, adjusted and improved to form a formal questionnaire for the study.Descriptive statistics, reliability analysis and validity analysis are conducted on 295 questionnaires collected by formal investigation to test the reliability of the data.On this basis, the structural equation modeling and hierarchical regression analysis are used to test the hypothesis of direct effect, mediating effect and moderating effect around the basic framework of "quality infrastructure--open innovation--innovation performance",and the empirical research results are obtained. Finally, according to the research results, the conclusion is summarized, and the management enlightenment of the research is proposed. The findings are as follows:(1)Quality infrastructure has a positive impact on innovation performance;(2)Quality infrastructure promotes both inbound and outbound open innovation;(3)Both inbound and outbound open innovation serve as partial mediators between quality infrastructure and innovative performance;(4)The realized absorptive capacity serves as a significant moderator between inbound open innovation and innovation performance, while the potential absorptive capacity plays a vital moderating role in the linkage between outbound open innovation and innovation performance. This study enriches the theoretical research on the relationship between quality infrastructure and innovation performance, which has certain practical significance.Based on the research conclusions, the following management implications are proposed for automobile manufacturing enterprises:(1)Enhance the capacity-building of quality infrastructure to improve innovation ability;(2)Break organizational boundaries and implement open innovation;(3)Take into account the collaborative impact of absorptive capacity and open innovation towards enhancing innovation performance. |
