Research On Vitality Creation Of External Space Of Performance Arts Building From The Public Behavior Perspective

Since ancient times,the external space of the performing arts building is the source of urban and rural vitality and the catalyst of social integration.Public behavior is the link between the performance space and the society.The composite and public trend of performing arts building puts forward new requirements for the design of external space,which makes us rethink the social mission of performing art and the responsibility of external space.As the convergence of“elegant culture” and “civic life”,it’s worth paying attention to how the external space creates a differential activity atmosphere for different groups.Therefore,through the analysis of public behavior,this paper summaries the vitality elements of the external space,which is of great significance to solve the problems of the lack of social contact and the decline of public life in the development of performing arts building,so as to enhance the attraction and public participation of the external space of performing arts building.Firstly,taking the historical context as a clue,this paper sorts out the development and evolution of the external space of ancient and modern performing arts building,puts forward three levels of external space characteristics and explores the feasibility of external space moving towards vitality.Secondly,taking public behavior as another clue,this assessment establishes the theoretical relationship between external space and public behavior and proposes four demand levels of public activities in external space.Based on field research and questionnaires,the public behavior motivation and existing problems in external space are summarized,which leads to the necessity of vitality research.Then,with reference to the evaluation method of urban public space vitality,the Analytic Hierarchy Process is used to investigate and evaluate external space of three real cases to summarize the spatial elements of different vitality levels.Finally this article puts forward the strategy of external space vitality creation to respond to the public’s activity demand.Through the research,we will have a clear understanding of the public behavior motivation and activity characteristics in the external space of performing arts building and provide a more diversified design perspective for the external space,so as to provide a reference for the urbanattribute construction and research of performing arts building.
