Three-dimensional greening is a new type of greening method that has emerged with the continuous development of urban construction in China.It can alleviate the urban heat island effect,improve air quality,and enhance biodiversity in urban areas with limited green space resources,thereby improving the living environment.As one of the developed cities in the southern region of Jiangsu Province,Wuxi has achieved a series of achievements in urban greening construction.However,due to economic construction and other factors,public green space areas in Liangxi District,the central urban area of Wuxi,have limited for expansion.Against this background,exploring the design and application methods of vertical greening in public spaces in Liangxi District is not only important for improving the urban public environment in Liangxi District,but also for optimizing the urban landscape structure and enhancing the comprehensive image of Wuxi City.This paper takes the three-dimensional greening in public spaces in Liangxi District,Wuxi City,as the research object.Based on clarifying the characteristics,application forms,and functional effects of three-dimensional greening in urban public spaces,referring to relevant information,the paper conducts a hierarchical investigation on five different blocks in Liangxi District,including commercial areas,roads,overpasses,historical and cultural blocks,and squares.Based on the research results,the paper summarizes the application status of threedimensional greening in public spaces in Liangxi District from the spatial and element levels,and proposes design principles,strategies,and ideas for vertical greening in public spaces in Liangxi District based on the status quo.Finally,the paper uses the three-dimensional greening design application in the Phoenix City 798 block in Liangxi District,Wuxi City,as a practical verification.Specifically,the paper includes the following five chapters:Chapter one clarifies the research object and scope of the article,summarizes the current research status of theoretical and practical research on three-dimensional greening in urban public spaces at home and abroad,clarifies the research purpose,significance,content,and methods,and sorts out the research framework.Chapter two provides an overview of three-dimensional greening in urban public spaces,starting from the theoretical perspective,and reviews the development,forms,and characteristics of three-dimensional greening.Based on this,the paper analyzes the specific application forms and benefits of three-dimensional greening in urban public spaces,providing direction and guidance for subsequent research.Chapter three analyzes the current situation of three-dimensional greening in public spaces in Liangxi District,Wuxi City.Based on relevant historical materials,government planning documents,and field investigations in Liangxi District,the paper conducts in-depth analysis and summarizes the distribution of three-dimensional greening spaces,layout forms,application forms,and plant compositions in public spaces in Liangxi District by block.Chapter four presents the methodology for three-dimensional green space design in Liangxi District,Wuxi.Based on previous research and analysis of the current situation,this section proposes design principles,spatial-level and element-level design strategies,as well as specific design application approaches for three-dimensional green space in different blocks.Chapter five discusses the application and practice of three-dimensional green space design in public spaces of Liangxi District,Wuxi.Building upon the design strategies discussed earlier,this section integrates the spatial and greening conditions of the research area to present specific design proposals for public spaces in the study area,with a focus on the application of three-dimensional green space design.Please note that I have made minor revisions to enhance the grammar in both paragraphs. |
