With the deepening of research on the cultural space of traditional villages in various disciplines,as well as the emphasis on the protection of the living environment of traditional villages in the process of urbanization, the research of traditional villages has shifted to focus on the humanistic spirit and social significance of activity venues, studying the relationship between the physical spatial form of traditional villages and society, history, and culture. The space for festival folk activities in traditional villages is an important medium for expressing festival folk culture. It can reasonably optimize the construction of folk culture space, and has important practical significance for the sustainable development of traditional villages. Therefore,in order to explore a new approach to the spatial design of festival folk activities, the author turned his attention to the spatial narration. This article takes design as the core, combines spatial narrative theory with spatial design, opens up a research perspective and provides a new design methodology.Thinking in accordance with the logic of "background research empirical analysis design application",relying on previous research, exploring the coupling between narrative design and festival folk activity space, summarizing targeted strategies to further supplement the theoretical content of narratology in traditional village space research. The feasibility of the research strategy is further demonstrated through the introduction of spatial narrative system theory and a case study of Baoan Village in northern Guangdong.
