| The Southern Silk Road is a typical representative of China’ s cultural exchanges between China and abroad,leaving behind a valuable cultural heritage and a diverse architectural culture along this path.According to a literature survey,the Southern Silk Road started in Chengdu and was divided into an eastern and a western route,which intersected in the Dali region and then went from Baoshan to India.Focusing on residential architecture and the theme of exterior architectural decoration,this paper examines the artistic representation of residential architectural decoration from an aesthetic perspective,establishing and improving the aesthetic theory of residential architectural decorative art so as to understand the artistic representation of residential architectural decoration,which is a complement to the architectural cultural heritage of the Southern Silk Road,as well as an important theoretical basis for exploring the development and conservation of residential architecture.This paper combines historical documentary sources,relevant archaeological classics and foreign language related literature as well as field research,based on aesthetic theories and with the help of various research methods such as documentation,material science,archaeology,aesthetics,art and anthropology.The thesis analyses the artistic characteristics of residential architectural decoration,and understands the aesthetic characteristics and laws of residential architectural decoration on multiple levels and from multiple perspectives.The thesis takes the architectural decoration of the Southern Silk Road as the main object of study:Chapter 1 is a theoretical cognition of the structural diversity of residential architectural decoration,and the aesthetic expression of the media for different structural factors;Chapter 2 analyses the modelling forms of residential architectural decoration through fieldwork of residential buildings,and forms a theoretical framework of residential architectural decoration forms;Chapter 3 takes the aesthetic theory of residential architectural decoration as the Chapter 4 takes the artistic expression of the context of residential architectural decoration as the theme,which is a specific extension of the context of residential architectural decoration;Chapter 5takes the aesthetic design of residential architectural decoration as the theoretical basis,and presents the artistic representation of residential architectural decoration in terms of functional forms,decorative symbols and cultural symbols.At present,due to the large volume of the Southern Silk Road architectural system,expressing the content in the form of a thesis would require too much reluctance,and this paper only selects representative residential buildings from the entire route as the central point.As the opening chapter of a later study,this paper takes aesthetics as its basis and artistic representation as its expression,reflecting the value of the architectural cultural heritage of the Southern Silk Road from an aesthetic perspective. |
