| Landscape design is a creative process that combines art and science, aiming to create outdoor spaces with functionality, aesthetic value and environmental sustainability. However, contemporary landscape design is facing many problems. Many urban landscapes have become increasingly similar, lacking uniqueness and innovation. This homogenization of landscape design results in a monotonous and uniform urban space that fails to reflect regional characteristics and cultural individuality. In order to adapt to the ever-changing needs and productivity, many areas pursue standardized design styles and specifications but overlook local cultural characteristics and regional backgrounds. As a result, landscape design fails to reflect local history, culture, and environmental features, leading to disconnection and disharmony with the surrounding environment. Therefore, how to imbue landscape design with narrative and regional elements has become an urgent problem to solve.Based on the above background, this article takes art park landscape design as the research object and explores the cross-application of montage narrative techniques in film art and landscape design from the perspective of landscape narrative.Montage creates a new meaning or emotional experience through the combination of different shots in the film industry, advancing the narrative of the film. With the iteration of film industry technology, montage narrative techniques have also been continuously developed and expanded the interdisciplinary nature, making it possible to be used in other disciplines beyond the framework of film art.Landscape design combines human perception experience and material form to reshape space and create an atmosphere, providing people with rich and interesting experiences through the expression of the plot in space, which shows obvious narrative features.Montage narrative techniques and related skills share a common time and space structure with landscape design, and both need to integrate emotional, media, and time elements to create themes, rhythm, and atmosphere. Therefore, the focus of this article is on how to use montage techniques to make material space the carrier of real emotions, allowing viewers to generate cultural identity through the story of their own perceived space when entering the art park landscape. At the same time, the organic combination of new technologies and ideas in film art with landscape design provides a rich and dynamic research method for design disciplines, which not only helps to elevate art park landscape design to a methodological level but also provides new entry points for art park landscape design.First, the relevant theories of art parks, landscape design, and montage narrative techniques were studied to demonstrate that montage and landscape design have a common time structure and narrative technique.Secondly, the research explored the site conditions and organized the spatial sequence through staging, taking into account temporal and spatial dimensions.,integration of clues, and path setting. From the aspects of narrative theme conception, spatial narrative arrangement, narrative expression methods, and case applications, the promotion strategies of montage narrative techniques in landscape design were proposed, including:Determine suitable narrative themes through classification and selection, use the central highlighting technique to highlight the core elements of the theme, highlight the uniqueness of the theme through differentiation techniques, and merge and strengthen the theme through strong contrast techniques;Integrate narrative content into landscape design through scene integration and transformation, element deconstruction and reconstruction, collage and fusion, and the use of points, lines, and faces.,making the landscape not only a form of aesthetic expression but also rich in cultural connotations and storytelling;Use continuous,parallel,cross-cutting,and reverse montage narrative techniques to arrange landscape spaces and create a montage framework for space.;Use methods such as enhancing visual impact, stimulating the senses, creating an immersive atmosphere, and sublimating the emotions of the viewer to express montage narrative in landscape design.Summarize the situational elements and spatial structures that can be used in landscape design; Finally, taking the design practice of the Jinling Yun Art Park landscape as an example, through in-depth exploration and analysis of Nanjing’s art and cultural history, the most representative regional elements are integrated into the art park landscape design nodes through montage narrative arrangement, enriching plot experience, constructing a place intention, and stimulating spatial vitality, allowing people to be moved by the art and cultural history behind the landscape, and realizing that the development of art requires looking back at the past, standing in the present, and looking to the future. The innovation of this article lies in combining the montage narrative technique in film medium with landscape design, creating a new method of construction. This method uses techniques such as scene transitions and lens switching in montage narrative to relate different landscape elements, landscape spaces, and landscape features to form a cohesive and smooth whole. At the same time, this method also draws on theories and practices from other disciplines such as psychology, cultural studies, and art to better achieve the construction goals of landscape design. This interdisciplinary approach can better understand and apply different design theories and techniques, thereby creating more innovative and practical landscape works. |
