Research On Landscape Protection And Renovation Design Of Traditional Village In Nantong

The rich plains of Nantong have been cultivated by generations of Nantong people,giving rise to a large number of villages that are highly integrated with nature and idyllic scenery,and forming a rich and colourful village culture.Nantong itself is a famous national historical and cultural city,and there is also a famous Chinese historical and cultural village,a number of provincial traditional villages and three national traditional villages within its territory.These traditional villages have a large number of distinctive regional features to be explored,superior natural landscapes,rich monuments and relics,as well as gourmet products,making them a landscape complex that combines nature and humanity.Traditional villages are the crystallisation of China’s agricultural civilisation and are the witnesses of the social development of the Chinese nation for thousands of years.They are of great significance to the continuation and transmission of China’s agricultural culture,and it is the historical responsibility of our generation to preserve and pass on these traditional villages.This paper is based on the investigation and analysis of traditional village landscape in Nantong,with the help of landscape design theories such as place theory,organic renewal theory and landscape gene theory,and relying on policies such as rural revitalization plan and Measures for the Protection of Traditional Villages in Jiangsu Province,using literature research,field research,comparative analysis and summary,etc.Linzi Village,a typical traditional village in Nantong,is selected for practical research.The research contents include the following aspects:First,to understand the research status of traditional villages at home and abroad,to sort out and summarize them,to investigate and analyze the distribution of traditional villages in Nantong,the formation factors of village landscape,and the characteristics of village landscape by combining literature research and field research,and to summarize the current problems of traditional village landscape in Nantong.2.According to the current situation of traditional village landscape in Nantong,seek solutions.Through the study of four cases of protection and renovation of traditional village landscape at home and abroad,summarize their development mode and specific protection and renovation measures,analyze and summarize experience,and determine the protection principles and renovation strategies of traditional village landscape in Nantong.3.Apply these protection principles and transformation strategies to the protection and design practice of traditional village landscape in Linzi Village,Nantong,create a traditional village with unique characteristics of Linzi village that integrates leisure sightseeing,pastoral planting experience,traditional culture display and industrial development,and summarize the mode of village landscape protection and transformation in Linzi Village.The new era has promoted the formation of new pattern of rural urbanization,but also affected the demise and transformation of traditional villages.Many traditional villages,either to make way for economic development or natural disasters,are gradually losing their landscape characteristics.Since 2016,Jiangsu Province has carried out a detailed survey on the number,types and geographical distribution characteristics of traditional villages in the whole province.On this basis,it has focused on protecting and developing 100 traditional villages with a long history,distinct regional cultural characteristics and rich traditional resources,thus promoting the flow of more social resources to traditional villages.Many traditional villages have ushered in the opportunity of village landscape transformation and achieved obvious transformation results.But at the same time of the transformation,there also appeared the "emphasis on environment,light culture;Heavy material,light industry;As well as the serious "follow the trend"phenomenon,the homogenization of traditional village landscape is serious.Linzi Village of Nantong is a provincial traditional village recognized and protected by Jiangsu Provincial people’s government.This paper takes it as the object of protection and renovation design,aiming at summarizing the mode and experience of village landscape protection and renovation of Linzi Village,providing reference for other traditional villages in Nantong in the future,and also hoping to make theoretical contributions for more villages in Nantong to be included in the list of Chinese Traditional villages.
