A Study On The Application Of The Architectural Features Of Residential Houses In Central Anhui In The Design Of Modern B&B

In recent years,driven by the level of our national economy and the rapid development of society,tourism is booming,architectural forms are being innovated,and people are beginning to pursue a spiritual dimension to their choice of accommodation for travel.As a new form of non-standard accommodation,people’s expectations of B&Bs are gradually rising.Accommodation that only serves a residential purpose no longer meets the needs of contemporary people for relaxation.The B&B should be redefined as a place of tourism,holiday and accommodation with a unique charm to meet the multiple needs of people.As a place where people can return to peace and tranquillity and cleanse their minds,B&Bs need to emphasise the spread of local culture combined with the design of B&Bs,enabling residents to experience local folklore and regional culture in a more profound way,and to feel the local cultural characteristics first-hand,thus gaining a different kind of spiritual enjoyment.The use of traditional residential architectural elements in the design of B&Bs can not only meet people’s needs for experiencing folk culture,but also contribute to the inheritance and development of traditional architectural culture.The main purpose of this research is to explore the value of traditional residential architecture in contemporary design.The study aims to preserve traditional history and culture in a developmental manner,and to explore the culture and skills inherited from previous generations and apply them to modern design,thus achieving the inheritance of traditional architecture and culture.An effective way to preserve the heritage of traditional culture is to integrate traditional architectural elements with modern B&B design,taking into account the needs of contemporary people.The subject of this study is the traditional residential architecture of the central Anhui region,which is analysed and explored in terms of its historical background,the types of traditional residential architecture and construction techniques,and the application of the characteristics of the architecture of the central Anhui region in the design of modern residential accommodation.The first chapter is devoted to the object,background,purpose and significance of the study,as well as the current situation of traditional dwellings and B&B architecture at home and abroad.Chapter 3 provides a basic overview of the architecture of residential houses in the Wanzhong region,including the following aspects: an overview of residential houses,the current development of residential houses in the Wanzhong region,and a survey and summary of representative examples of residential houses;Chapter 4 is a list of the architectural composition,aesthetics and elements of the architectural characteristics of residential houses in the Wanzhong region;Chapter 5 is based on the above-mentioned research and analysis.This chapter focuses on the content of the author’s design work and the design descriptions,which illustrate the comprehensive application and expression of the elements in the design process of the B&B.The significance of this project lies in the integrated analysis of the architectural features of traditional residential houses in the central Anhui region,so that the traditional residential buildings in the central Anhui region play a role in conservation and inheritance.Through research and reflection on the architectural features of traditional residential houses in the central Anhui region,the artistic features and spatial forms of residential buildings in the central Anhui region are summarised,and then combined with specific cases for the innovative application of B&B design,which has a certain reference value for the artistic design of modern B&Bs.It provides an example reference for the better continuation and development of the architecture and spatial art of traditional residential houses in central Anhui in modern times,and also contributes to the development of architectural design in central Anhui and Jianghuai in a small way.
