| With the development of the times,more and more countries are gradually moving into the ranks of aging.As one of the most populous countries in the world,China is facing the challenge of a large and rapidly growing aging population,and coping with aging has become an important issue that needs to be addressed in today’s society.Under this circumstance,how to develop a more reasonable and scientific aging response plan is even more urgent and deserves high attention.The elderly are more likely to be injured in the outdoor environment due to their own physical conditions.The pocket park is an important carrier of outdoor activities for the elderly because of its convenient and flexible characteristics.How to ensure the safety of daily travel activities of the elderly is an important issue to cope with the aging society.In this paper,we take pocket parks in Nanchang as the research object and explore the safety of pocket parks from the perspective of the elderly.By understanding the needs of the elderly through physiological characteristics,psychological characteristics and activity characteristics,six pocket parks in Nanchang City were selected for the current situation research,sorting out the relevant factors affecting the safety of the elderly in pocket parks,and field investigation and analysis were conducted for each index factor to build a preliminary safety evaluation index database,and then experts and scholars in the field of landscape architecture were invited to screen the index database,and 20 indexes were finally determined.Among them,there are 6 primary indicators such as road square safety,plant safety,facility safety,site space environment safety,surrounding environment safety,and management safety in the guideline layer,and 20 secondary indicators such as flatness,depression,ageability,sense of belonging,traffic condition,and security management in the indicator layer.Then the weight of each index was calculated by AHP method using Yaahp software,so as to finally construct a pocket park safety evaluation system based on the perspective of the elderly,and Nanchang Health Theme Park and Ruiyuan were selected for example verification.A questionnaire was designed based on the evaluation system,and after the questionnaires were distributed and collected,the valid questionnaires were tested for reliability and validity,and finally the safety status of the pocket parks was rated using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.The results showed that the total safety evaluation scores of Health Theme Park and Ruiyuan were 3.2447 and 3.7282,respectively,with Health Theme Park ranging from 2.5 to 3.5 and the safety level being average,and Ruiyuan ranging from 3.5 to 4.5 and the safety level being relatively safe.The current safety of Ruiyuan is better than that of the health theme park.From the guideline level,the lowest scoring level indicators of health theme park and Ruiyuan are road and square safety and custodial safety respectively,and the highest scoring ones are site space environment safety and surrounding environment safety respectively.Comparing the scores with the current situation of the research,it can be seen that the safety scores are consistent with the current situation of the research,which proves that the pocket park safety evaluation system is feasible and has certain application value.Based on the evaluation results of Nanchang Health Theme Park and Ruiyuan,the safety creation strategy of Nanchang Pocket Park from the perspective of elderly people’s use is proposed based on the principle of safety priority,people-oriented principle and site-specific principle.Among the specific measures,measures to enhance the safety of pocket parks are proposed in terms of reasonable pavement materials,improving the flatness of garden paths,reasonable planting density,strengthening the ageappropriateness of resting facilities,improving the stability of activity facilities,creating a barrier-free environment,clarifying spatial boundaries,enhancing the sense of belonging,strengthening the traffic management of the surrounding area,enhancing the security management,improving the distribution of electronic monitoring,and adding emergency relief facilities. |
