As a microcosm and fragment of the dynamic evolution of the city, historical and cultural blocks are the embodiment of the layers of styles and styles in different historical periods, but their protection is always fragment type, and the historical representation of a certain stage is realized through the stiff chronology protection.HUL theory emphasizes that urban development, historical and cultural heritage and their natural, social, economic and cultural environment are regarded as a dynamic whole, which provides feasible new ideas for the protection and development of historical and cultural blocks.Through detailed interpretation of HUL theory and comparison of different experiences at home and abroad, this thesis studies whether HUL theory is applicable to the protection and development of Chinese historical and cultural blocks.Taking Shiping Ancient City historical and cultural blocks as a case study, this thesis summarizes its current problems and starts from the three characteristics of overall development, dynamic stratification and multiple correlation of HUL.The relationship among ancient city, old city and new city is sorted out,and the layered changes of tangible and intangible elements in the block are superimposed. The network text analysis method is used to analyze the feelings, evaluation and concerns of different subjects in the block. The results show that:(1)the historical and cultural blocks should be placed in a broader built environment, and the ancient city, old city and new city should be protected as a complete growth cycle of the past, present and future of the city;(2)On the basis of respecting history and tradition, thinking about the positive and negative effects of visible and intangible elements layering on blocks, forming the concept of dynamic protection;(3)The establishment of a social "magnetic field",combining the rich cultural characteristics of the block and different subjects for correlation protection.Based on HUL theory, the protection and development mode of historical and cultural blocks in Shiping Ancient City is put forward specifically, emphasizing the needs of residents, appropriately moving back to the space bearing residents’ collective memory and daily life, accepting dynamic changes,so as to supplement and improve the existing protection system of historical and cultural heritage. The practical application of HUL theory in the process of conservation renewal is explored and expanded. |
