A Study On Micro-renewal Of Historical Neighborhoods Based On The Perspective Of Regional Culture

The report of the 20 th Party Congress emphasizes that "we must be firm in historical confidence and cultural confidence" and "continuously enhance the national cultural soft power and Chinese cultural influence".As an important carrier of traditional culture and urban life,historic districts have the important functions of enhancing the image of the city,inheriting the historical heritage,stimulating the vitality of the district and driving economic development.However,due to the rapid urbanization process,China’s urban construction has become a one-sided phenomenon,and the local characteristics have gradually faded,affecting the originality,humanity and uniqueness of the neighborhood.In order to perpetuate the unique appearance and cultural connotation of historic districts,it is urgent to study the micro-renewal of historic districts.Firstly,this thesis systematically compares the theories,policy directions and history of micro-renewal models of historic districts at home and abroad through literature analysis,and finds that foreign historic districts have been renewed mainly by shifting from the original large-scale neighborhood restoration model to the phased,small-scale micro-renewal model.In China,which is at the initial stage of micro-renewal of historic districts,the existing micro-renewal studies are mostly focused on historic districts with rich architectural remains,but less involved in micro-renewal of historic districts from the perspective of regional culture,and thus become a new way of thinking.On this basis,this thesis proposes a research direction on how to carry out micro-renewal in historic districts from the perspective of regional culture.Secondly,this thesis takes the micro-renewal of the historic district as the main research subject,and takes the North Youfang Lane of Huaihe Road of Hefei City as the research object,and takes how to apply the regional cultural components,performance characteristics and performance techniques to the micro-renewal strategy of the historic district as the research objective.Based on the study of the value system of micro-renewal in historical districts,the strategies in micro-renewal cases of historical districts at home and abroad are summarized through the case study method with the regional culture as the guide.The historical and cultural characteristics,the current situation of the neighborhood spatial environment,the function and architectural style of the neighborhood,the current utilization of the neighborhood space,the morphological scale of the neighborhood and the people’s business pattern of the neighborhood are analyzed in detail through the field research method,and the main problems are identified.Based on the summary of the micro-renewal strategies of historic districts in domestic and foreign cases,the micro-renewal strategies studied in this thesis are compared,improved,adopted and integrated with the representative strategies of micro-renewal of historic districts at home and abroad through comparative analysis.The highlights and innovations of this thesis’ s research content are refined and organized,and applied to the research object for elaboration.Finally,the thesis uses the perspective of regional culture to explore the role of regional culture on the micro-renewal of historical districts,and lists four strategies and six implementation plans for the micro-renewal of Huaihe Road and North Youfang Lane based on the perspective of regional culture.The feasibility of the regeneration strategies such as integrating historical heritage,optimizing spatial layout,utilizing regional elements,continuing architectural style,and renewing greenery of the neighborhood is demonstrated.
