Create Regional Culture In Hangzhou City Square Design

City square is the main feature of the city and it represents the concentration of city's history, culture, otherwise, it also enhance charm of the city. City square is one of methods to show the importance of city's historical & locally culture. Recent years with boost of economy, the square booming has happened in many cities in China. Those squares only have limit value in construction area. Due to influence of the globalization and the foreign culture, many cities'historical & locally culture has been disappearing as time goes by, so that, many issues will occurred by the similarity between different cities. In order to strengthen main feature buildings among cities, we could possibly start at the point of view of historical & locally culture, then find the unique characteristics among the different cities, after that we analyze those unique characteristics and use those unique characteristics to create city's integral images. This article will compare to Chinese and foreign cities'space and history of development, in order to find significations of city square in many areas including social, psychology and culture, and otherwise this article will discuss how to create atmosphere for Hang Zhou's city square, furthermore ,to discuss the functions of city square, space structure and possible trend for landscape development, in order to seek potential mechanism of action, moreover, give some suggestions aim to principle of structure. Here use Hang Zhou's Yong Jin Square as example to exhibit the standard rules for construct historical & locally culture during the process of design the city square. It sheds light on historical & locally culture development and design of Hang Zhou's city square.
